"Really good brunch! Havent been for dinner but will definitely return to try. The french toast was the best i’ve ever had and I’m more of a savory person for breakfast"
"This is IMO the best brunch in Brookline. The dinner options are also great too and they are open late on weekends. Enjoy~"
"Good modern seafood spot with unique and creative dishes. Once hyped as one of the most creative seafood spots in the city, Ivory Pearl offers a modern seafood dining experience that blends luxury ingredients with Asian culinary twists. The pricing leans towards the higher end, even when compared to upscale seafood spots in Back Bay, but the creativity of some of the dishes presented a unique draw. We started off with their rotating East Coast oysters. At $18 for four, these were perhaps the city's most expensive oysters. While the accompanying hot sauce lent a spicy and tangy edge, the oysters themselves didn't quite live up to their extravagant pricing. In contrast, the Katsu & Caviar dish was more memorable. It brought together the richness of Wagyu sandwiches, with the added umami of caviar and the depth of katsu sauce. For our main courses, we got the snow crab noodles, Ponzu mushrooms, and the K-BBQ Salmon Collar & Belly. Both the noodles and mushrooms were heavily buttered. The mushrooms, in particular, benefited from a spicy chili paste that added a much-needed zing. The noodles, while flavorful with their buttered ramen broth and acidic pickled bamboo, somewhat missed the mark on highlighting the crab. The Korean bbq-style salmon, served with various accompaniments for wrapping, was a novel concept. However, the robust flavor of kimchi tended to dominate the dish, overshadowing the other elements. Overall, Ivory Pearl excelled in presenting luxury seafood with a rich, buttery emphasis. While the value for price may be a matter of personal opinion, the restaurant's impressive cocktail selections alone make it worth another visit. I'm keen on returning, not just for the food, but to enjoy some lighter fare accompanied by their creatively crafted drinks."
"Note: I went here for a tasting event, so I ate things that would not be my go to and regrettably I don’t enjoy cooked seafood as much as I should. Ivory pearl is sister restaurant within one of my favourite restaurants groups. The group knows how to make a good drink and pair it with good food. I knew this going in, and it think it made me more critical of what I was going to eat. We had 5 items from the menu. Seafood chili, broccoli Caesar, scallops, snow crab noodles and banana bread. I will be frank, when your favourite menu item from a seafood restaurant is the veg, it is a telling sign. That you either really don’t like seafood or that the food does not transcend your biases. Everything was beautifully cooked. I think flavours wise and story wise, I wasn’t convinced. In some dishes I found elements unnecessary and out of place. Needless to say, it was all very yummy and very edible outside of my critical lens. A stand out to me was the broth from the snow crab noodles, broccoli salad and the banana bread. I also enjoy that they source local seafood and are attentive to try to use invasive species. Beyond this night, I think I’ll choose their sister venues as they fit my preferences. Glad I tried it out!"
"Food looks great simple sauce are great bring out each dish. But flavor over all need more in each dish. Cocktail on point. Service was good. The mushrooms dish only one thing we had had best flavor. Dessert was okay. Everything looks great need more flavor food itself. Thank you for great evening"
