"Unpleasant experience. Not the cleanest/ most hygienic place. Went to get my gel nails removed, the nails were just taken off without any pretreatment or soaking. The clipper and file used was not a sterile one. I was asked if I wanted a clear coat and I provided them with my own. At the register, I was charged more for also getting a nailpolish. $18 for getting nails off with a clear coat is a rip off. The place stank of meat which actually made me gag a few times. The lady at the register was chewing on her sandwich and talking at the same time with food flying out of her mouth. I paid them at got out of there as soon as I could. Would not go there again or recommend it to anyone. The ick factor at this place is high."
"I recently got a pedicure here and honestly it was a good experience! The negative reviews kind of through me off but once I went, I enjoyed it. The pedicure was done nicely, nail polish came out great. Will definitely be going here again."
"I came in for a pedicure for myself & a mani/pedi for my granddaughter. I asked what the price was in advance, just so I knew what to expect. I was told that mine was $30 & my granddaughter's would be $32. I was fine with this. What I am not fine with, is the "bait & switch" that this salon uses. It's deceptive. The man who did my manicure brought over a box with different packets in it and asked me to pick one. I was unclear what I was picking but finally realized they were "scents" for the water my feet were soaking in. When I went to pay, mine was $40 because the packet was an additional $10. But I was NEVER told this. I thought the scent packet was part of the manicure. This is VERY deceptive. I asked why I was charged when I was never told this was additional but of course the man left after my pedicure while I waited for my granddaughter. So his word against mine. The same thing happened with her manicure. The technician asked if she wanted jewels on her nails. We said yes to 2 jewels, but was never told this was additional, until it was time to pay. This is terrible business practice! I will not be back again..."
"HORRIBLE! Do NOT waste your time or money here. This was my first time visiting Lucky Nails. Nancy is the rudest and most unprofessional person I’ve ever met in my life. She took over mid way through because the person doing my toenails originally likely could not see very well. The color was not very saturated and he kept adding layers, which resulted in very uneven bumpy mounds on my nails and on my skin. She told me that she would not remove the previous color. Instead she roughly sanded the top layer and applied a slightly brighter color on top. When I switched stations, she asked me to pay ahead of time, which I had no problem doing, along with a tip. I felt badly because while I was not very happy with the gentleman’s work, he was very nice and I’m sure was doing his best. The last thing I wanted was for him to feel badly. When I sat at her booth she commented right away on how I had gained a lot of weight. I was naturally caught off guard, but told her politely that she must have the wrong person, as I’ve actually lost about 20 pounds over the last 6 months and that I never met her or stepped foot in her salon before. She just smiled at me, as though I were obviously some other person who had gained a lot of weight. Lol. After she was done, I noticed how different my fingernail color looked compared to my toes. This was likely because the original color on my toenails, which she painted over was coming through. I wasn’t going to ask her to redo them at this point. It was an observation. Anyway, she kept saying very rudely, “ I don’t care! Not my problem. Oh well, you can go somewhere else if you want. You paid me so that’s too bad for you!” She even tried mocking me and scrunched up her face and made a ridiculous voice, like a child would do. I told her that she was being very rude. She just kept saying, “ I don’t care. I don’t care!” I was so insulted but mostly shocked that a grown woman, let alone a “professional”, could be so nasty and confrontational. It became too obvious that this is why she wanted me to pay in advance. I could maybe understand if I weren’t having gel polish done, as regular polish might have smeared while trying to pay. Anyway, It is no wonder there were absolutely no other customers there for an hour and a half! If I had any idea what I was about to experience, you couldn’t pay me enough to go there. Unless you want a sloppy nail job and are a person who likes to be insulted and yelled at, stay far away from this place!"
"You can’t fix rude. Or the infection they gave me on my nails… The woman who helped me and my friend yesterday , was so disrespectful and rude. Claiming my friend was being difficult by just asking for the shape of her nails to be fixed. Ontop of the rudeness, constant comments, shaking of head and dirty looks, my nails came out HORRIBLE. It’s as if neither techs have ever done nails before, and it took them 2.5 hours to do dip nails.. Best advice, go to lucky nails in north hampton instead it’s worth the extra drive."
