"We decided to stop by due to the high number of cars we saw throughout our long weekend in Portsmouth NH. We went on a Sunday afternoon while it was quiet. We sat at the bar and our bartender Alexa was outstanding!!! Very attentive and professional. We started with the steamers which were outstanding. Fresh tender and sweet. The best we have ever had. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent. Our main course the marinated steak tips are a must,!! So tender, cooked to order. We were so pleased with our experience we will make this a regular stop . Absolutely one of the best places to dine."

"Locally sourced, extensive local brew list on tap, flights of beer, the best hand breaded scallops I've ever had, steak type fries that were the tastiest. We had the most unexpectedly wonderful meal here. We sat by the fire on a cool Autumn evening, no wait at 5:30pm, kind waitress who was patient with our questions, pace of the meal was perfect, the cheddar biscuit was as good as a biscuit can get, flavorful moist yet crispy edge. Fish tacos with fresh abundant haddock was delicious. We'll come back in the summer for the river view and lobster rolls on the deck. Maine eateries like this never let us down."

"Finally visited York River Landing after many failed attempts. They are constantly busy and have proven hard to get a table during busy seasons. They have a wonderful atmosphere overlooking the beautiful river. The restaurant is large but the log cabin look makes it feel cozy. Service was good and our waitress was at the top of her game. The drink menus at this restaurant were huge! Over 20 beers on tap - impressive. Our cocktails were made perfectly and strong, well worth the money. As for the food, we shared the stuffed mushrooms - inventive and deliciously filled with brie and fresh crab meat. Our fish and chips were the best part. Perfectly cooked fish and hand-cut fries. We really appreciated the misshapen fry cuts; definitely not frozen. We will be back during the warmer months to enjoy their patio...if it's not too busy."

"We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon in August 2023. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time, but we were told it got really busy at night. Everyone was nice and friendly and service was great. The hummus appetizer was delicious, the lobster rolls were amazing, and the pinot grigio and lager beer we chose hit the spot. Outdoor dining on the terrace overlooking the river is limited to bar stools at a counter, with no tables. But the indoor tables also had a nice view of the river. There is a huge parking lot, so parking is easy. On Sunday afternoon they also have a dinner menu, and some of the dinners we saw looked amazing. The menu has a good selection, prices are reasonable, and the food and service were very good. We'll definitely return the next time we vacation in the area."
