"As with several other reviewers, we (3) were excited to try this “new” upscale dining experience. We had made reservations but it appeared on this night (Thursday) they probably weren’t necessary. Given that this is a dual use space, they do a decent job “prettying up the place”. The staff and service was very good. Our server, Colin, was very efficient without being intrusive. We all had steaks, all cooked perfectly. The app (Lobster bisque) and sides were ok to good but not up to par with mains. Three cocktails, two bottles house Cabernet, one app, three steaks, two sides, one dessert was in excess of $400 before gratuity. Overall, a very nice evening yet, given the price point, we all left feeling somewhat unfulfilled."

"We had a great meal at 53 Chophouse. We had the crab cake app and it was tasty and someone had the onion soup and said it was very good. The onion soup was a large bowl. My son had the filet (10 Oz) and he said it was delicious. Three of us had a fish special that was wonderful (tomahawk swordfish). We would have ordered the mashed but we heard it was very garlicky so we went with fries which really were potato wedges. It was busy. The waitress was lovely. The time between apps and dinner was long so don’t expect fast in and out dinner. We relaxed and enjoyed. I would say overall it was a very good meal and experience. I love that it’s a little hidden gem. Just beware- steak prices are pretty high."

"53 chophouse is a hidden gem! We stay in mashpee every year and was thrilled to find out a new steak house has opened up! Nancy was very nice and was able to get my party in and made sure we had a excellent experience. Michael our server was amazing gaving us top notch service. We had the gorganzola fondue, and the wagu steak for appetizers which were to die for along with the Caesar salads we started with. All the steaks were very flavorful. We got our steaks with the Bearnaise sauce and truffle butter. All our side dishes were phenomenal, I would definitely recommend Mac and cheese and corn risotto. Our overall experience at the 53 chop was exceptional and will definitely be back again!"

"Finally a steak house on cape. Check hours, Thursday Friday Saturday for now, more after the word gets out. A+ on the porterhouse with melted wagu tallow ( using blow torch no less!). Wedge salad was delicious albeit smaller than other steakhouses. Lobster bisque too heavy on the basil for my partner. Parmesan truffle fries and prime beef will have me return . This place has unusual set up as coffee shop in morning."

"When I found out a high end steakhouse was coming to our area I was SO excited. I immediately told my husband that I wanted to come for our anniversary so he made a reservation. What an experience! Firstly, it’s located at Cape Cod Coffee, but you can’t even tell. We enjoy CCC frequently for breakfast and atmospheres are completely different. Secondly, when you reserve a table, it’s yours for the evening. You’re not being rushed out the door so they can free up a table for the next person, you can sit and enjoy a few drinks (I suggest the Lemon Drop on a Rock). However, if you don’t have a reservation you can always sit at the bar as well! Thirdly, the STEAKS! My husband got the Cowboy ribeye and it was phenomenal. I had the filet, but after taking a bite of his I just wanted to go back and keep eating his. He ordered it with the Calabrian chili butter, which is served on the side, and it was delicious but be warned it has some serious heat! We had a couple sides as well, and I highly recommend the corn risotto, it might’ve been my favorite thing we had. The asparagus was great also. We’re normally not dessert people but after everything else we just had to try some, so we split a chocolate cake. It was decadent and wonderful. We’re so excited to come back with our friends soon."
