The Blueberry Muffin Restaurant: Kingston MA

"Disappointing. I hate to leave a bad review but I feel like this place is definitely falling behind the standard it was once at. *I was told my order would take 15 minutes, so I showed up 15 minutes after placing it. I then stood there for 30 minutes to receive a cold omelette, a muffin that was definitely cooked in the same butter as the omelette, cold bacon, and the wrong donut. *We were also missing a blueberry muffin but received a chocolate chip one as a replacement by mistake. *It definitely seems like the girls up front were more concerned with counting their tips than checking on orders, which along with the quality of service, makes me wonder if they are being paid fairly. Management definitely seemed to be missing here or at the least, not giving guidance."

"we have been eating here for years. seems like the last few times the food has gone down in quality. when you pay $40 for breakfast for 2 people (just entrees and coffee) you expect much better. the home fries are really never very good. the last few times they were held over, very tough and not good. last week they were totally undercooked so you could not eat them. how can you not make good home fries when they are served with almost every dish. the sausage, gravy and biscuits never has much gravy on it. the biscuits are chewy, super salty and not very good. extremely disappointing. the eggs benedict never has anywhere near enough sauce on it. if you ask for a decent amount of sauce you are expected to pay extra for it so why bother you might as well just get a poached egg. the english muffins are very poor quality, super soft and cheap. the side of greens was full of rotten and yellow pieces. i asked for fresh ones and was still picking rotten pieces out. it used to be good here now it is just overpriced and poor quality."

"I love this place!! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The Blueberry Muffin offers fresh baked goods as soon as you walk in the door! Huge variety! We were seated quickly and the food was fresh and delicious! The service was super quick! The only reason I didn’t give five stars is the floors had scraps of food,napkins etc. I stepped on I think a piece of muffin and it stuck to my shoes:/ I’d definitely visit again with hopes that the floors would be swept:)"

"I am really surprised this breakfast/lunch spot only gets 4 stars. It had a great menu, huge portions, great service and delicious food. We came as a group of 6 and had about a 5 minute wait before we sat down. We were greeted by a happy hostess and when we sat down we had a lovely waitress. Within minutes our drink order was taken and soon after we had 2 sample size pastry bowls arrive to drive an after meal purchase from the baked goods section. Smart! Breakfast came and it was really good. The only food on the breakfast platters that sat on our plates were the breakfast potatoes....no one wants soft potatoes- crisp and soft in the middle is the only way to go. Aside from the potatoes we had breakfast perfection on a platter. If I am back in the area I will go back!"
