"Rockafellas in Salem: A Spirited Experience Headed to Rockafellas in Salem, lured by tales of the ‘Lady in Blue’ drink, a nod to the city’s ghostly past, as recommended by our ghost tour guide. The bar, bustling with activity, warned us of being short-staffed, but service didn’t seem to skip a beat. Opting to sit at the bar (we weren’t hungry, so can’t comment on the food), I was a tad let down to discover the ‘Lady in Blue’ was essentially a Blue Hawaiian. However, the local beer selection salvaged the situation. I went for a local ale that boasted a rich, pleasing flavor. For families, the butter beer is a must-try. They whip up a delightful non-alcoholic version that’s a hit with kids. My wife tried the ‘Black Forest Possession,’ another cocktail that struck the perfect balance – flavorful without being overpowered by alcohol. Overall, the vibe at Rockafellas was upbeat, with everyone seemingly enjoying their time. It’s a solid choice for a casual drink in Salem, especially if you’re into trying themed cocktails in a lively setting."
"We came here on a Sunday night in November so the Halloween rush had died down a bit. The restaurant was still pretty busy but we were seated quickly and had attentive service. Lots of enticing options on the menu. We ended up ordering the fish and chips and the half chicken, which were both tasty! And for drinks we ordered the “Nightmare on Essex Street.” Nice atmosphere, only thing to note is that the tables for 2 were a bit small so it felt a bit crowded when our meals came out. Overall, definitely worth a visit!"
"This was the first restaurant we ate at and waited in a line while we planned our day, which was conveniently located next to the visitor's information center and it felt like no time at all. So excited to know after going on the ghost tour that Rockafellas chose us before we knew the history. Anyone visiting should definitely go on one of the tours. The food was on point and the entire restaurant was oozing with hospitality and tons of Halloween decorations. Can't wait to come back for the best crab cakes I've ever had and the sweet and salty fig with prosciutto flatbread."
"We stopped by and grabbed a seat at the bar since the restaurant was pretty busy. The bartenders were nice, even though they were slammed. I had the chicken Madeira and it was amazeballs!! Great drinks, we stopped by again that evening on our pub crawl tour. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Salem!"
