Reviews of The Beth Kitchen & Bar
"had brunch here Christmas Eve, 2023 our first visit the fried calamari was not hot enough and not fried enough. It was chewy like rubber. I had the fish and chips. The fish was OK. The french fries were cold and soggy like they’ve been sitting under heat lamp. she had the egg scramble thing which looks like something I cooked at home. She liked it, but neither one of us were overly impressed. Service was lackluster. A family sitting a few tables from us left after we sat down, and that table, sat there, dirty and uncleared for our entire meal and they were waitresses and waiters just hanging around, drinking their Dunkin’ Donuts coffee watching TV. as a resident of the Hingham Shipyard won’t be coming back there anytime soon."
"Food was absolutely delicious and fairly priced for restaurants right now. The drinks steer clear of. Got blackberry lemonade $9 a glass and was flavorless. Same with the other drinks served at our table. Got the baked Haddock, and it was cooked to perfection. The gnocchi had a slightly crispy sear, which really enhanced the flavor. The sauce was spot on with a lemon parsley garlic flavor. Truffle fries were enjoyed by everyone. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's right on the waterfront. Great service by Kathy, who was our server."
"The Beth is where the old Beerworks was located. The atmosphere was very pleasant with it's beautiful interior and patio that overlooks the ocean and boat docks. The food options a varied but, delicious. The fries are definitely good. I recommend the mocktail called the Strawberry basil with lemonade and soda water. Our waitress was very prompt and responsive."
"Been here 3x now and it just doesn’t hit the spot. Wanted to give this new place a shot and some time to adjust since they opened but the last time i went just confirmed my disappointment. Waitress could’ve been friendlier but no complaints otherwise. Compliments to the bartender for making a great espresso martini but every thing else was just meh. Flat bread was over cooked and slightly burnt. Sushi… just no…. It was a brick of rice for $18. The only thing I’d get again is the burrata"
"Came in this evening for a couple of drinks and a kids dinner and we loved the decor and theme. The inside is expensive, well spaced out, and meticulously decorated; the trees are a nice touch. Service was friendly but not particularly attentive. No silverware or plates for our food, which arrived before our drinks. It was a bit odd and when they did bring plates, they didn't bring enough for three and gave us paper napkins instead of the cloth ones we're supposed to get with the silverware. But I digress... The truffle fries ($10) were decent and the kids menu fish sticks and fries ($10) was also a hit. My filthy vodka martini was perfect as was my wife's Cosmo. They're clearly capable of good execution there and the food arrived insanely fast. There's a lovely patio outside as well overlooking the marina. All in all the place is pretty decent although a touch too expensive. It shouldn't cost nearly $70 with tip for the stuff I mentioned above."
