"It was my first - and last - visit to Lexie's in Newburyport. I stopped in tonight, excited to try their deep-fried Brussel sprouts. Since I was on foot I placed the plastic take-out bag in my backpack. When I got home and took the bag out of the backpack, I realized all the hot honey sauce had leaked out of the soggy, sagging cardboard container into the bottom of the bag. It was a terrible mess. Did I mention I also was carrying 2 library books in the backpack? Also the sticky sauce leaked onto the front of my favorite turtleneck. And the Brussels sprouts were hard and tasteless. When I called the restaurant to let them know of my experience, the only response I received was they would pack it better next time I came in. Of course there won't be a next time. Just a word of warning to the wary. Skip the Brussels sprouts here on at least 2 counts: no care taken in properly packaging takeout, and no taste in the food itself. Now it's time for me to toss the sprouts and clean up the mess. I just hate to throw away food and money."

"UPDATE: Since my original review below, it seems that they have resolved the overly salty fries issue. Much appreciated! We love Lexie’s. Great burgers and fries. Unfortunately the last few times the fries have been so extremely salty that you can’t even eat them. So disappointing. Hoping they can resolve this simple issue soon so we can get back to really enjoying our favorite burger joint!"

"This place is famous for their burgers “beanie” burger being my favorite , fries “Garlic aioli” being my favorite and lemonade ( regular and cucumber). Generally this place is full, however I was surprised this time no one was inside the restaurant and the layout was also leaner. The guy behind the counter was not the friendliest, also didn’t seem interested in hosting. I decided to just stick with the lemonade and have my dinner at another favorite of mine in Newburyport. Lemonade was great as always."

"Ordered a Green Goblin with gluten free bun, fries and a strawberry lemonade- both very tasty. Food was brought out right away even though they had just opened."
