"I've been eating here every other weekend for the past 6-7 years. The food is always cooked to perfection. The cooks staff has remained the same and those guys are super friendly and nice to the customers. The location is always clean and the manager is nice as well!"

"I was in the mood for some good ole bbq after work so I decided to check out Tennessee’s in Braintree. Upon arrival I was greeted with a how can I help you. There were no menus to look at except for the ones hanging behind the counter. So as I began to order the one taking my order found it necessary to laugh and joke with her friend behind the register who was eating and on her cell phone. I found that to be unprofessional but hey it’s hard to find help nowadays so I’m assuming they’re taking what they can get I ask about an item menu and the way she explained it was horrible. Nevertheless I figured it out and got ribs n chicken meal which came to $24 4 bones of ribs and 5 wings with 3 sides. Reasonably priced and portions were more than enough. However the ribs were mushy and falling off the bone made for old people who wear dentures. Not how a rob should be cooked. I’m from the south and we know bbq The wings were salty and had no flavor but smoked pretty good. The coke slaw was excellent along with the corn bread while the dirty rice and beans were gross. All In all I wasn’t impressed with the outcome and it’s not a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for bbq."

"Don’t let the location fool you. This place has outstanding food. There’s no table service. It’s no-frills. But the BBQ is phenomenal. The sides are really good as well. I had the brisket, beans, and mac and cheese and I can’t wait to go back."

"First time here. Not a fancy place to sit and eat, but we were there to pick up and bring the food home. We tried a platter with 3 different meats, baked beans, smashed potatoes and corn bread. Every bite was more delicious than the one before! I loved the pulled pork, a companion loved the ribs. The potatoes were so good, I’ll be dreaming of them. Another companion tried the different sauces, and declared them all good but actually enjoyed the baked beans sauce the most. We’ll be back and I highly recommend you trying this restaurant if you like BBQ"

"With a dearth of good BBQ in the area, this place is a nice sanctuary for those who love some southern style carnivorous fare. I've been here many times before and it never disappoints. The one area where they could improve is that they use low-grade bread for their sandwiches. If Popeyes can make a lauded roll, so can the little guy. I got the brisket sandwich with mashed potatoes and mac n' cheese and my friend got a pulled pork sandwich with two sides of his own. I brought a heartier appetite and devoured my food whereas my friend couldn't muster the spirit, leaving his sandwich half-eaten. Nothing here is ever the best I've ever had but it's always good enough and to give a real proper review, I should try some of the other items on the menu. By the way, a great lunch stop for a quick bite if you're working in the area. Food comes at you before you can sit down. No bad meats here."
