"The slowest service ever. If someone drives up through your window and their meal is not ready (and of course they know it) please don’t let the rest of us wait 30 mins. We are coming in at the correct time to pick up our meal. So don’t punish us because somebody else got here too early. Make them go around and get in line again!!!! Back at it. I’ve been sitting on the lane for 20 minutes while people are just walking around inside. And my food is ready. This place is absolutely unreal."
"Echoing the other reviews, this is arguably the worst Chipotle store I have ever been to. Their ingredients do not taste fresh, and they can barely ever get your to-go order correct. Generally, you typically get similar quality and service from store to store, but not here. I honestly just wish the location would close, it’s that bad. Set your expectations to the lowest they can possibly go, and then you won’t be upset at what this store produces."
"All the order was wrong, my chicken, rice, sour cream, and red sauce quesadilla was just a cheese quesadilla. The other in picture is my daughters to which she even said in her words is yuck. Having to pay $30 for this and get junk is asinine."
"Extremely disappointed with the Newburyport Chipotle. This is the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. I placed my order online, drove to the restaurant and then waited nearly 20 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready. While waiting I noticed that every table was dirty, the floor was dirty and worse the serving counter was also dirty. I contemplated walking out and go to another restaurant. When I got my order back to my campsite I opened my order, or I should say half order. I have ordered the burrito bowl and chips in dozens of Chipotle in dozens of states. The servings are consistent in size, flavor and quality in all the Chipotle. As they should. However the Newburyport chipotle serves what appears to be half portion bowl and half portion chips. If this was my first experience with this franchise it would be my last. I hope that someone from corporate decides to try this restaurant as a mystery shopper and see for themselves how bad this place is. The franchisee should be fired. One more thing I noticed there is no ceiling on the restaurant side. It looks like the ceiling was removed and never replaced. You can see the roof plywood. The lights are hanging like a temporary setup."
"Chipotle as a whole has gone down hill in quality, but this newer location in Newburyport is particularly problematic. Aside from the ridiculously early closing time (8pm), food quality is wildly inconsistent, the staff runs the gamut from indifferent to frazzled and mobile orders are often prepared with little or no attention to the actual order. My last in-app order of a chicken burrito had no chicken, undercooked brown rice and the portion size was only slightly bigger than a bar of soap (see photos). I expect more for a $9 burrito. A follow-up visit yesterday (ordered in-store) wasn't much better. Sloppy preparation, small portions and mushy, wet burritos. They never properly drain the pinto beans, which is really annoying. If you have a problem with your takeout order but don't realize it until you're home, good luck trying to call the restaurant. After you get through the front end VRU, no one ever picks up the phone. One saving grace: if you order in the app and they screw it up, choose the CHAT WITH PEPPER chatbot and you can request an instant refund."
