"My review is based off their food truck service. Their food is excellent but they struggled to feed a hungry crowd in Hingham last night. It took me close to 1 hour to get my meal. Not sure why they have a food truck if they aren't equipped to feed people in a timely manner. They messed up our order and many others waiting besides me. They also ran out of food and it was evident that they were NOT prepared for the crowd. If you're considering to eat at their restaurant, i say give them a try, but dont book their food truck unless you have a lot of patience."
"I appreciate having an African restaurant close by so I don't have to go in to Boston anymore. The okra sauce with pounded yam & poff poff are my favorites. I usually order take out. It's a good spot for satisfying my occasional cravings."
"We ordered the goat, some boiled plantains, and four types of Fufu. The goat was so tough and full of tendon we finally threw it out. The sauce was good but it was awful meat (and $20 at that) The plantains were good, if pricy ($5) I don’t understand Fufu ($3 each). I’ve heard great things about it, and we got one of each, but I don’t like. It’s odd because I love Injera, and it is reminiscent of that, but it’s too sour and bitter in taste to be pleasant. The texture is nice but not the taste."
"This was my first time here and also having fufu. It was very good! We ordered the pounded yam, okra sauce with goat meat added, a large pepper soup they kindly split in two bowls for my friend and I to share. The sauce that comes with the fried plantain is AMAZING, pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the plantain. (I find it to be mild, but it may be a little spicy if you don’t typically prefer spicy food.) I had to ask for extra. Wonderful service, they made sure we had everything we needed."
"Amazing food. Soo much flavor. Not too spicy. I had chicken in peanut sauce, it was great. Not like any other food. Cozy simple decor. Only a few tables. Feels more like you are a guest in a home. Had the meat pie it was also great. Try something new !!"
