"I had been coming to this place for 50 yrs. Sat down with older friend at counter, ask if he had watched state of union address. Haggard woman chose to berate us both for speaking politics. We were speaking to one another and no one else. She should mind her business. She slammed coffee down and told us we could not have that conversation or we could leave. I left. Me and about 20 customers, family and friends will enjoy Ashleys, four buildings down, from now on. Every bit as good and a better menu. Get rid of the woman with no respect for customers privacy, she is a detriment to friendly business. Have since heard this from many others."

"Been trying the brunch places in Braintree so popped into this place on a Monday. It was busy but not crowded and we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and didn’t mind answering our questions. Prices were super affordable, the two of us eating for under 40 including tip. We ordered- French toast with bacon sausage and eggs- we would give that a 4.5 We also ordered the classic eggs Benedict and Portuguese sausage. I’d rate the Benedict good. It didn’t blow my mind but it was solid. The Portuguese sausage was a fun alternative to regular sausage. This meal also came with home fries/hash that was good but not crispy like I prefer. They also had Greek sausage as an option. We got an iced coffee and it comes in a tall glass and has me free refill. Overall a good place for brunch. They had a ton on the menu that looked good for lunch and dinner so I’d be interested to go back and try those there."

"I could see that earlier in the morning it could be long waits, this place is a good ole fashion diner! Great servers, excellent prices and the food as if grandma was in the kitchen! We are only here for the weekend and may be back for all of our meals here. I’m sure they won’t know our names by then, but they knew a lot of people coming in the door by name!"
