"I've been going here for years and there has been little issues with bad service, the wait time but over rall the food was always pretty decent, also because I usually stick to the same two things, friend chicked or fried haddock. But today I ordered stewed chicken. The chicken was so tough upon eating I realized it was undercooked and a chicken neck was given which is ok since I have ate the necks but it was so raw. Highly disappointed in the food today."
"Honestly I've never eaten a single dish from this establishment, and I probably never will. Why? The reason is because of their customer service or lack of. First of all I was there to do a pick up order for a client. I kindly told them clients order name, and they write the name illegibly. And didn't really confirm whether or not I had the correct order. You could not make out what the writing said. When they eventually confirmed the order with me they did so condescendingly. So much so to the point that I would never come to spend a single penny at this establishment. All the negative ratings that this establishment has is always the same thing, rudeness lack of customer service. My experience was not any different"
"I've ordered from here mostly via Uber Eats since I live in the neighborhood. Today I decided to do pickup thinking their Special Menu had gone down in price since it showed as $6 in GrubHub and Uber Eats. I get there and find out their Special Menu is still $7 which is dishonest. Originally launched in 2019, their Special Menu was made up of their popular entrees for $5. The price has since gone up to $7 which is only a few bucks short of the full price versions. I get the pandemic happened but having different price points for the apps and in-store is actually pretty dishonest. That aside, this establishment already pissed me off two years ago when I made an order through Uber Eats. I ordered two of the same item from the Special Menu. What I got instead was a regular size version of the item. My order at the time was intended for two different people and they did that. I felt disrespected as did the other person I made the order for. I won't order from them ever again. If you do order from them, call in advance. From what I've heard from delivery drivers, they often change the entree prices without warning or notice. The food is decent but the service really, really sucks. The few times I went in person, there was no sense of order or communication among the staff. I'm pretty observant and I saw a few people almost charged twice because both people behind the counter did not talk to each other."
"I’m from Lowell but was in the area visiting family and we decided to order some food on our way home. I ordered 2 orders of stewed goat, and black rice with plantains, 2 specials of the fried pork, 2 side orders of plantains, 1 side order of legume with beef, 1 side order of legume no meat and it came out to $91.70. We drove an hour back home and when we unpacked the food both orders of legume and the two orders of plantains were missing and we found a side order of fried beef that we did not ask for mixed in with our food in the bag. We called them to explain we were missing food and they gave us a fried beef in error and they acted dumb as if they were so confused and didn’t understand what we were trying to explain. My boyfriend had to speak to 3 different people and then the last lady refused to provide us a refund for the missing food and only offered to give us 1 side order of legume the next time we went back because they supposedly had already accidentally given us a fried beef. A side order of fried beef we didn’t ask for or want! Like it’s our fault they messed up the order. WE’RE NOT GOING BACK! Why the hell would we go back?? The legume with beef was $18 and the legume with no meat was $12 plus the two side orders of plantains $6. That’s $36 freaking dollars you are trying to steal from me if you don’t provide me all the food I paid for."
