"Server was good. Waited a bit too long for food that arrived over cooked. Only good thing is we weren't charged for the two bad meals. This was our second time at the 1712 with the same experience. We will NOT BE RETURNING."

"Three of us came in at 8:40 for a beer and a pizza after working on a boat at Shaw's boatyard. We were told the kitchen was closed, so we ordered a beer. 30 minutes later, 2 parties of other customers walked in and were served food. Asked the bartender and she just kept repeating "it's not my rule". Seems the kitchen was only open for regulars. They can have it, we won't be back."

"Service was extremely slow. And it wasn't busy. The food was pretty good. Makes drinks not so good. Kind of dark inside with decorations that felt like Christmas. People are nice I'd like to go back. I would give it another try but it definitely needs to be not so dark and dingy inside"
