"The new system where you don’t order bagels first and then pay is a terrible Customer experience. I don’t want to torture myself for a less than 7.00 dollar bagel purchase. It causes you to wait longer in line (over 20 minutes) and single customer orders end up behind the obnoxious family of five. Because no one working here has customer prioritization skills… The reason why the customers experience is so terrible is because they pay so low, they only get bottom of the barrel employees. People who have never had a job before and non-English speaking individuals. This is a wealthy area in Massachusetts and the people here deserve higher pay. It’s a miracle the general manager hasn’t quit in the three years I’ve been a customer here. Initially I wrote a 5 star review - now it’s a 1 star. Please stop acting like changing the standard operating procedures will improve how the store is run. It time for regional GMs and corporate morons to take a pay cut or get laid off; so you can afford more skillful employees on the frontline."
"The new system where you put in orders at the counter, and wait is a horrible experience if you’re just picking up bagels and cream cheese. They should have an express line for people who are just getting bagels to process those more quickly because you just have to grab the bagels and put them in a bag and hand them to people. Instead, after waiting in line for nearly 10 minutes then I have to wait another 10+ minutes to just have someone hand me three bagels in a bag."
"If you have literally ANYWHERE else to go to get a bagel I highly suggest it. Ordered two egg cheese sandwiches while we were stopped on a road trip. The eggs on the sandwiches were GREEN and BROWN. Could not even ask the staff to remake them because A) the staff was extremely rude and B) didn’t even want a new bagel from that place. Do not come here whatever you do."
"Worst customer experience in a long time. I haven’t been to this location in years and needed to pick up bagels for an event. I place an order, paid, then waited for 15 min where i see orders being picked up. When i ask about my purchase, everyone’s looking around confused then the manager/ miserable looking woman comes out and starts loudly grumbling about “you should’ve waited over there then” but not directly to me…there’s no signs or employees letting people know, how is a new customer supposed to know? She continues to growl at customers and her young employees but i couldn’t call it communication. At that point, several people tried making my order while the line stacked. Unprofessional. Bad experience. Bad management…Retrain them all… that poor staff."
"Customer service sucks here. I came in yesterday and there was no line. I didn’t know which end to start ordering from and no one would take my order. I walked all the way up and down the aisle three times while the lady with facial hair at the register pretended she didn’t see me because apparently her only task is button pushing. Finally someone making the bagels asked what I want. They are rude and anytime I said please or thank you I was met with complete silence. Like I said the place was completely empty and they could barely muster a word in my direction. As for the food the “brisket” was like boiled corned beef. It had no flavor and the texture was slimy. I threw it away and just ate the bagel and cheese."
