"The pastrami sandwich is big and delicious! Been a few times. Their customer service could use some work though. They don't call the order when you are waiting. And leave it on the counter, yet have a sign not to take it off the counter unless called. So my sandwich was cold. And like most customer service anywhere in America, rude and neglectful. Nobody makes an effort at it."

"I hadn't been to Barry's in over 30 years, and I was thrilled to find that little had changed, and it's as fantastic as ever. I had the matzo ball soup (perfection) and a hot corned beef sandwich (whatever status is better than perfection). RIP, Barry. May your legacy live on for decades to come!"

"I recently bought sliced corned beef, coleslaw and potato salad and everything was delicious. Best coleslaw and potato salad around. I was going to buy a pound of chopped chicken liver, but it looked so dark that I decided to buy just a 1/2 pound before buying more for the high holidays. That chopped liver gives chopped liver a bad name. It was bitter and dense and didn't seem to have any chopped egg to lighten it up. They definitely need a new recipe."

"Was my mainstay 30 years ago when I lived in Waban. I recommended it to a friend who lives 15 minutes away for early 6 am breakfast. Most places today open after 7am. He was truly impressed by the service and the cleanliness of the deli… glad to see 30 years later Barry’s Deli is still going strong! Good job!"

"Great deli. All your favorites. I’m partial to the corned beef (available in extra lean as desired) don’t forget the Russian dressing, the pickles, and of course the black and white cookies. Dr Brown’s sodas abound. Eat in or take out. (Btw lots of take and bake goodies here, you could just do your grocery shopping here and live a delicious heat and eat life!)"
