"The quesadilla was ok. We also got two combo plates and it was basically hospital food. The beef burrito had what I can only describe as bland spaghetti meat sauce in it. No hint of seasonings. Nothing that resembled Mexican flavors. Ground beef, tomato sauce and shredded carrots were all that was in it. The rice and beans on the side were identical to what you got as a kid in the school cafeteria. We used to really like this place but hadn’t ordered from in since they were still Casa Margaritas. For over $100 for 3 quesadillas, two combo plates and some chips and salsa I’m pretty disappointed with the quality. Won’t be ordering again."
"We tried Don Patron for takeout. The person who answered the telephone barely spoke English and had great difficulty taking our order. We asked how many mini flautas came in an order and they said, "Three. No six. Wait a minute..." They asked someone else and then said "Eight. No, that sounds like too many. Six, yeah six." We got four. The chicken flautas were so dry they were inedible. The chicken inside did not even look like chicken. It was more like a chicken paste (like canned chicken Spam) and had the texture of sawdust. The chicken fajitas were also shockingly dry. The chicken was sparse and what was there was so dry that it was chewy. They overloaded the green peppers and onions to fill the plate due to the lack of chicken. Even with the extra peppers and onions, the plate looked to be half of what was shown on the menu. There was no guacamole and no shredded cheese as stated on the menu. The refried beans were canned mush like brown ketchup. There was about a quarter of a cup of Spanish rice. All of the food went in the trash after one bite. This restaurant was worse than fast food. Don't waste your time. By the way, don't trust many of the fake reviews for this restaurant. Look closely at the food photos in some of these reviews. They look like professional photos rather than a customer snapping a photo of their plate. Go anywhere else."
"The Mexican food is fresh and very authentic. The new owner has changed the menu just a bit. However, the favorites remain. Guacamole is still made fresh table side."
"I ordered the chili verde. My food is just some fired chopped pork with some green sauce made it right there. I like to order this dish because I enjoy the flavorful and soft meat that comes from slow cooking. But what this restaurant offered apparently does not honor their own tradition. The menu is ordinary and common. I won’t go again"
