"Fish and chips are always great here. There are plenty of other great menu items also. Although prime times can get busy. The addition of the ajoined market makes for a fresh from the sea experience. If you love seafood, this is certainly a great and affordable option."

"Stopped in here for the famous lobster roll. Roll is hot and comes with fries. The fries were very good and the sandwich even better. The roll is priced at market rate, so be prepared. Highly recommend the roll. Cannot speak to the other food but the service was polite and fast. Quite happy. If I am ever back this way, I will definitely stop in again."

"Food here is excellent and fresh! The seafood platter we got is one of the best I have ever eaten! The cod is thick and fresh. The whole belly clams are fresh and do not have the fishy taste. The scallops i think the sliced half but the taste and texture is on point. The only thing is that they are not flexible with the menu. We initially didnt want the clams and wanted to swicth out for another fish but they said everything has been portioned so no changes can be made. But come on, you just need to tell the kitchen. This place is very popular. They even have a line during odd hours like 4.30pm in the Summer"

"If you're okay with a shack that has no atmosphere, you'd be ok here. They don't claim to have ambiance , and that's ok, but what really brings this place down are some of the employees. There are a ton of other dining options in the area, and you'd think the young kid taking your order would make you feel welcome and engage in conversation, but it was like pulling teeth. Some of the other employees looked like they all been sucking lemons all day. Good God, crack a smile. Like I said, there were plenty other dining options .The place was clean and the food was as expected. Nothing to write home about. It appears they've gone up on their prices, which makes entertaining those other dining options more enticing."

"We live within 15 miles of Newport which has many fine seafood restaurants but we always try to get to Anthony's a few times a year because we know the food will be fresh. We usually get the chowder and clam cakes and I love the stuffed quahogs. Occasionally get the fish and chips which has a nice light batter. Fair warning: you won't be waited on at the table but order your food at the counter and they will bring it to you when ready."
