"I have never been so appalled. We went in September 2023. Everything was OK, except the waiter. We had a gift certificate, and he rudely pointed out how we should tip. I almost bit his head off, and informed him that I know how to tip, since I have been in the hospitality industry for 20 years. The food was wonderful however."
"don't have any idea why this place has less than 4.5 stars, we had an incredible experience the entire time! #1 Ask for Claudia! She is AMAZING: professional, amiable, knowledgeable and friendly, everything you want a server to be. We mentioned we had to come back from Spain recently and turns out she is from Bogota Colombia so we had a good time practicing our Spanish :) #2 the food I got the American Wagyu and it was simply one of the best, tenderest steaks I've ever had. No salt, seasoning or accoutrements needed. . We got the steak tartar (prepared tableside) and the smoked salmon tartar and with the amuse was absolutely perfect paired with the #3 45th anniversary Manhattan - the presentation is 20% actual smoke taste is 0% and taste is 80% all amazing. I feel like you are essentially getting two Manhattans in this beautiful coup glass is one of the best you'll ever have it's more about presentation than smoke flavor she really don't get because it doesn't last long but the Manhattan is one of the best you'll ever have. We tried a South African wine neither us nor the manager nor the waitress had ever had and invited him to have a taste with us and we all agreed that they can go one of two ways and this was the better way and this is an absolutely superb wine. We had a great interaction as well with the staff, the location right next to the Boston tea party site and everything was absolutely wonderful with 10 out of 10 recommend and come here Tuesday to Friday and ask for cCaudia! ..."
"Private room group dining experience. For the price point it should've been a posh dining experience, but left with mixed feelings. Non alcohol drink: no taxi needed was delicious. Strawberry with lavender rosemary tulsi cold brew. App tower: real crabmeat and marinated octopuss were interesting but all the others shrimp cocktail, oysters, lobster were way overcooked and dipping sauces below average. Wagyu fillet mignon was nice, but again all the sides we ordered, asparagus, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, mushrooms were unimpressive. Desserts were huge portions but plain."
"It was my first time dining at the Wellesley location and it didn't disappoint. It was a beautiful fall evening, so sitting outside was a nice option. My friend and I enjoyed ordering from the caviar and bubbles menu and also had an order of streak tartare with roasted bone marrow. And the dirty martini with blue cheese olives was perfection!"
"Overall 5 stars, but the sides were somewhat of a miss. The Hasselback potato is an interesting concept and presentation, but the lemon juice that permeates the potato is odd and runs counter to the other toppings. The onion rings were large and tasted overall good, but the onion could've been cooked better. This being a steak restaurant, I didn't deduct points for sides. I ordered an American Wagyu NY strip with no rub. A good steak should speak for itself without any anything beyond some salt. And it did just that. It was delicious and featured a lovely char. Service was also genuine and outstanding. This is a nice place for a special occasion or a work colleague that you really like. Save the lesser spots for the rest."
