"We ate here mid-afternoon. The place is bright and has a really nice set up, not much atmosphere but it was only 1:30pm. We were seated near the partially open kitchen, but surprisingly left without that "restaurant smell" on our clothes. Our server Wayne came to our table within minutes of walking in, which we appreciated. He was super chill and really nice and we both noticed that right away. We started with the fried pickles and cherry peppers and they had a nice zing to them. I had the Left Coast burger which was cooked perfectly to my medium rare request, my wife had the fried chicken sandwich, which had a generous portion of chicken, but she thought was very dry. The regular and sweet potato tots were good, you could really taste the difference between them and the onion rings were also great. The cocktails, (we had the jalapeno mule), were well made- not overly sweet or too strong. The cocktails, app and main came out quickly. We would like to check it out on a busy night for the atmosphere. Overall I would recommend this place."

"We were in the mood for a burger and Oak Barrel Tavern did not disappoint. Burger and fries were great and the buffalo chicken dip was spectacular! We didn't finish our dinner and ended up taking the rest home with us. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere! A must dining experience for sure."

"What an awful experience. Got the baby back ribs and steak tips last night. Although there was some issues with the order, not a big deal honestly. (Sent the wrong fries) However, the food was atrocious. Steak tips cooked wrong and dry. Leather belt texture. Ribs were literally worst I have ever had. Clearly boiled and then put under a roaster. Fries soggy and icy cold, despite me living 5 minutes away and getting there before food done. Even though I ordered this meal 25 minutes before closing, there is no excuse for a $57.00 waste of money this bad."

"Went to the bar for 2 beers and some wings. It took about 45 minutes to get one beer and some food. The bar is less than half full with two bartenders and neither Po nor CJ seemed to care much about customer service. Lots of options in Sudbury - Oak Barrel should be at the bottom of your list of choices."

"I really liked oak barrel. We have had takeout many times in the past 3 years, but i had never eaten there. Newer decor. High celiings. Bar and separate restaurant area. We had burger and salad, both were fine, and very reasonably priced. Friendly and efficient waiter. Would happily return."
