"The food itself is delicious, and the server was quite friendly. The atmosphere itself is beautiful, but what is bringing down the rating on this restaurant is the time management. It took us almost an hour and a half to get our food. That is a little excessive. We will come again and hope to give a five star experience next time around!"

"This place is fantastic! The food is consistent, service is impeccable and the drinks are spot on. I have been here at least 5 times in the past few months. Our server, Mariyah, was very personable and attentive. Definitely one of the best restaurants in town. I will be sure to return soon!"

"Pricy. But definitely great service and food. Best clam chowder we had in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. I tried the soup everywhere we went and this was this best. The filet mignon was tender and seasoned well (my mom ordered it with the demi glace). The Rockefeller oysters I was dissappointed because the oysters were so tiny, the size of a clam. The lemon helped bring the acidic flavor needed. However, they were tasty overall. The lobster special was spicy, I would say a little too spicy. The taste of the lobster was masked by the seasoning and slightly overcooked. The bread was adequate. However, I think fresh bread or warmed bread would add to the meal. The server was very helpful and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Deserts were very tasty. The kids loved the gelato, creme brulee and tasting the honey cake. However, for the price, I wish the suggested comments are considered."

"What a great Italian option here in Waltham. My husband and I went for date night and started off with an almost immediate acknowledgment for some water. Then greeted by our excellent very personable, proffessional yet very down to earth, friendly server, Mariah. For an appetizer we started with the charcuterie board. Then I got the skirt steak and frites. Husband got the pork chop. I've had some pretty good cuts of steak before, but I have to say this little gem made my top 5 best steak list. I ordered it rare and you could have cut it with a butter knife. The flavor was like a juice grenade went off in My mouth. We finished with the Pistachio creme Brule. WOW, the best I've ever had. Our server, Mariah, thank you for making our date night an unforgettable evening. You were very attentive and easy and fun to talk to while holding the proffessional stature that one must keep while working in a finer dinning establishment such as The Federal.
