"Gosh, we've been coming here for so many years and have been satisfied. But the clam cakes were cold, the chowder was ehh, and I ordered the lobster stew and think I got lobster bisque. I should have questioned it, but at that point..... On the up side the bartender was pleasant and the beer was cold and a good pour"
"I last ate at Cap'n Jack's 40 years ago, as a high school graduation dinner. This weekend I attended our 40th reunion, and have been taking my wife to all my memorable spots. This was a fun weekend, and Cap'n Jack's did not disappoint."
"Truly wow-ed by the exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, stayed long enough to enjoy the lovely outdoor area. We kept ordering appetizers for our stay and were thrilled. What a gem. Update May 2022: I live locally and this spot has been an absolute favorite! Your only disappointment may be that they’re closed on Mondays! Another great dinner last night! Steamers, always. I had the grilled mahi quinoa arugula salad for my entree. It was fabulous. A gem!"
"My wife and I wanted to go to the famous Mantunuck Oyster Bar but they were jammed packed. We had to leave and saw this place down the road. We were hesitant at first after seeing the star rating and reading through the reviews. Man! We were very pleasantly surprised. Calamari were fluffy and light, not overly seasoned. Clam chowder was also light and well seasoned. Fish and chips were excellent! Everything was extremely fresh and tasty. Our waitress Nancy was also very attentive and caring. My wife and I were glad to stumble upon this little gem. I would recommend anyone to come in here to give them a chance!"
"Came here at 11 am on a Saturday right at opening. Staff were ready to welcome us in. We opted to sit outdoors which was a patio overlooking a salt marsh. The server was friendly and made sure that we were doing well, she even came to talk to us about the bunnies and the birds that hang out in the area. Got the chowder and clam cakes. Chowder definitely had a lot of seafood and potatoes in it. Clam cakes are like big pieces of fried bread with clam in it. I've never had it before and was pleasantly surprised by the crispy exterior and soft chewy interior. It was a little too heavy for me so I only finished one cake. Overall, I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant."
