"Despite multiple calls, voicemails, and expressed interest in adopting several cats over the past few months my application was never reviewed. No one from the shelter ever attempted to return a call or discuss my application. I was finally able to adopt 2 healthy kittens from a different shelter. Don't waste your time with Standish."

"Literally stole my cat. Thankfully I had him chipped. And I had just gotten a new cat who followed my older one everywhere and magically he's now missing too. I understand it's dangerous for cats to go outside but they both just used to chill in the neighborhood and come home at night .. they told me they picked my cat up basically on my street... I understand picking up a dog but cats?! Then took him and hour away. Thankfully I got my baby back only because he was chipped but I feel like they kept my other baby just because I hadn't had him chipped yet and to punish me for letting them out they'll re-home him to a home "better fit " in their eyes smh. And the argument will always be because I let him outside . The women was so nasty to me when I had to pick my cat up. So Judgy.Just a bad taste left ."

"Since when is it so important not to let your indoor cat outside Especially when letting that indoor cat outside under supervision In all the years we have adopted animals have we ever been turned away from adopting a pet If only the person who looked at our application bothered to call our references and our vet. Had this been an issue With all the animals out there looking for loving homes I wonder if they know what the policies are No wonder they sit in cages for months Because some person who thinks they are the animal God decides their fate Rules are Rules and I do abide by them But in this case An innocent animal that would be spoiled rotten and given a loving home Was denied that option"
