"If you want a truly satisfying home cooked breakfast go to the Soda Chef on North Street in Pittsfield. It may not look like much from the outside, but this is an authentically retro old school diner with bar stools at the counter and also a few tables available for sitting at. All of the food is freshly prepared to order by George. The eggs were amazingly fresh and so tasty! Their home fries can be made with or without onions, as you prefer, and I opted for the onions. These were definitely the BEST home fries I've ever eaten at a restaurant. I also ordered bacon, which they cooked to order. Asking if I wanted it soft, medium, crispy or extra crispy. My husband had the sausage which was also delicious. Patty waited on us and she was so nice and really attentive to us. We haven't had a chance to have lunch there, but I have no doubt it will be just as satisfying!"
