"I visit this mall in 2008 on a timeshare visit in Lee, MA I remember this mall was crowded and packed with a lot of stores. I was out here recently and just kept driving past the mall when I seen how empty it looked. It's like the era of mall shopping is starting to go."
"I used to go here on business, to the Best Buy, years ago. I'm now going here on business, again, to the Target. The Best Buy closed a few years ago. Upon arriving at the Target I was saddened to see the state of the mall. It was fun when I would wander the mall when Best Buy was there and open now there is only the Regal Cinemas and Target. The state of the mall and the parking lot saddens me. It looks like there should be stray dogs, or like it could be the potential site of a zombie apocalypse. The malls of "Eastern" Western Mass aren't doing too well either. However at least they continue to use the space The Hampshire Mall has become kind of an entertainment mall, they've made the Eastfield Mall into place where there are flea markets, and people can walk on the weekends. The Holyoke Mall has a Planet Fitness and Round One so entertainment. I could be wrong but it doesn't look like the Berkshire Mall is being used for anything. It just looks like dead space. I gave it a two because the Target is still doing well and the theaters aren't that dilapidated. Thankfully there aren't roving dogs and there's no such thing as zombies. But I feel like space should be used better, I am coming in from far away and just doing like one visit on business a week so I don't know it's story. I know the infrastructure in the Berkshires is different than that around Springfield. Can this infrastructure be used better? The bike trail near the mall is improving. The Berkshires are a tourist attraction. I guess the point of this review is that the space should be used better."
"i miss it so much. i remember a couple years ago when there were stores filled with people. now it’s closed, nothing."
"This mall is dead. Nothing here besides a Target, a Regal Cinema and a nail salon. I don't even think the food court is open anymore. If you're into dead malls, this is a place to check out. BTW, the trees all through the mall are fake........"
"If you want a vast, echoing, empty ghost town, then this is the mall for you. There are, I think, six stores remaining in here, two of which are nail salons. When we were there, nothing was open in the food court, so I don't know if any of them are still in business or not. Someone is still watering the trees, because they're threatening to grow through the roof. The parking lot is pitted and cracked and full of debris, the entryways are filthy, but it does have a Target, so there's that. The mall has been in the news down there recently, because the owners have not been paying any taxes. This is no surprise, I can't imagine they've generated any income in the last decade. This is truly the Flying Dutchman of malls, ghosting silently through the night into its slow dissolution."
