"Relaxed yet professional salon with cushy and clean chairs. Loved the atmosphere and playlist as much as their collective personalities! Very reasonably priced. I'm definitely going back."
"I did not get what I specified. I told hair dresser I only want you to face frame with Balayage do the roots and use balayage at top so roots will not be dark, Hair dresser said she was going to use toner and I said NO TONER I went in with blond hair and golden highlights and left with ashen color hair . The hair dresser must of used 20 to 25 foils in my hair on top sides and down back . She also used an ashen toner which made my hair look gray and white on top of the golden blond I had prior and removed the color I loved except the roots . I dont get a blow dry and I dont get it cut. I m very specific about my color and this hair dresser did not listen to me at all. She did a full balayage on top and used a toner. SHE DID NOT LISTEN. She also does not understand the balayage process. I have had balayage for years and no one used a toner. She tried to wash it out and then used a gold toner to lighten the gray ash. This left gold splotches at the roots. She said next time no toner, There will not be a next time at Fulham. I paid 215.00 for a color I will need to get corrected at another salon. I was hoping this would be my new hair salon but absolutely not because I expect when I say what I want done and get something completely different. This hair dresser just disregarded what I asked for and did what she wanted to do. Clearly wrong and bad customer service."
"Will I ever be able to sum up the magnificence of Rachel in one review? Probably not, but I am going to try. Rachel brings life back into my look, and I always feel renewed after our appointments. My haircuts with her always look amazing, and they grow out so beautifully. Rachel always delivers. She is so talented and dedicated, a master at her craft, and she is a genuine and darling person. She listens attentively, works efficiently, and never ever compromises on her high standard. Go to Rachel at Fulham Salon. Its a great place, super clean, really nice staff, very hospitable, and parking in the back! If you are ready for a refreshed style, Rachel is the choice!"
"Love, love, love this place! I am so happy to have found Rachel. I started looking for a new hair salon when it became difficult to get in to see my curly hair stylist. It tooks months to get an appointment and I can't plan that far in advance. Rachel does not specialize in curly hair and I was aware of that, however, her reviews were great! Rachel had a small consultation with me and listened to what I wanted and looked at the photo I brought in as well. She offered suggestions and then went to work. During the entire cut, she kept asking me my thoughts and I really appreciated that. My appointment was at 7 pm and I was the last appointment for her, however, she treated me like I was her first. I was offered a drink when I entered as well as wine when it was my turn in the chair. The salon was clean, and well lit. I left with exactly the style I wanted and although Rachel does not specialize in curly hair, I'll continue to go to her as long as I am in Newtonville. I would highly recommend Fulham Salon...especially Rachel!"
"**Editing this review after calling the salon and speaking with the owner. He was very understanding and accommodating to my concerns which is much appreciated. To the receptionist who responds to these reviews, you may want to consider a career path that is not in the service industry as your response was rude and inconsiderate to someone who paid a lot of money for a bad haircut. The length was discussed to be "1/4 of an inch" then she turned the chair around and did not let me see the cut until it was completely done and blow dried so it certainly was not agreed on to take 2 inches. I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT agree to angles as this is NEVER something I ask for. I attached some images of the hair cut since you accused me of writing a "harmful and misleading review"** Easily one of the worst haircuts I have had. I asked for a simple trim (straight cut, no layers, no angles) and she cut around 2 inches which was very hard to swallow considering my hair grows incredibly slow. She did a very awkward angle in the front and cut was choppy and uneven. I give 2 stars because the staff was very friendly and the stylist was obviously new. Considering I paid $80 (not including tip) for an amateur hair cut I was quite disappointed."
