Reviews of The Overlook at St. Gabriel's
"Lived here for 2 years, the amenities are nice so as some of the staffs. However it’s been a couple month since I moved out and still have not received my security deposit. Called so many times and there’s always something going on with the security deposit check. Told me that they will keep me posted but never followed up."
"I love my apartment, its location, and the amenities I have access to. Rick is also awesome and tries to fix any repairs or maintenance on time. He is a gem!! The cleaning ladies I run into are also very friendly and kind. My one gripe about this apartment is the attitude of about half of the concierge staff. There are 2-3 who I would say are immensely a pleasure to deal with. They are always ready to help and assist if you have any questions or concerns; namely: Jenny, Trey, and there was this other guy. However, the rude ones are insanely impatient and have no desire in helping the guests with their concerns. I once was looking for a package and explained my situation and the concierge just didn't listen to anything I said and told me to check again, that it's my fault for not picking up the package in 2 days (if he listened to me, the package arrived merely 12 hours ago). There's this other concierge Shandrina who has been extremely rude and ill mannered. She was of no help regarding a complaint in the middle of the night. She is condescending and makes you feel like you are a bother to her. On the other hand leasing manager team have been kind and helpful. It's just ironic that half of the concierge - staff whose job description is to make sure that residents feel welcomed are the ones who are the most impolite and unhelpful."
"I've lived at Overlook for the last 2 years, this is now my third time renewing my lease and last because every year they are literally up charging the rent as well as the parking I just canceled off my lease. Parking use to be $150 then $250 and now it is $300 a month. My first month here someone stabbed my tire in the garage and I got no reimbursement or even felt like there was any sympathy for my experience. Literally they did not care. The aesthetics of the buildings are absolutely beautiful, great gym/studio and many different lounge spaces to hang out or study in and of course the pool and on sight grills make it all seem very tolerable and of course is a PLUS! There are still many inconveniences, whether that be parking for your guess, or the building fire alarm going off at wee hours bc they accept a bunch of college students every year that I assume cant cook a decent meal without burning food, but also without knowing if they open the doors to fan out they set off the entire building alarm which is also installed in your apartment. So yea no place is perfect Im sure but the over chargers cant be over looked at the OVERLOOK! Properties like this rob people, and I thought income based housing was a plus HA! Some staff are amazing usually the ones who are of culture and then those that do not have a superior disposition and attitudes about themselves. Just thought you should know the in all of my experience I´am positive others can relate to!"
"There is so much to do on the campus alone, and the renovated church looks like a tourist attraction. Super dog-friendly, great gym, beautiful plants on the premises, and many spaces for remote workers. It is so calming to walk around outside; I do it almost every day. The cleaning staff is excellent, and the maintenance team is very responsive and helpful. It is a terrific place to live!"
"Garage disposal was broken Rick immediately knew what to do also gave some amazing tips on how to keep up with it, showing me how to reset it just in case we run into the same problems. Great guy familiar face always holding the door for my baby and I in the hallways. Thank you again !"
