"I had the worst experience at a salon that I have ever had. I normally do not write bad reviews of small businesses but this was an extreme case. I went in asking for long curtain/side bangs that at their shortest should sit at my eye when in its natural texture (curly/wavy) and get longer as they sweep across. We also discussed trimming for health and adding some layers. I received bangs that at their longest sit an inch above my eyebrow, they are too short to be pushed to the side so I have to either pin them back or wear them as straight across fringe. The layers are very choppy and short. Rhonda and I were scrambling to try to make them look somewhat presentable. I expressed that they were too short. I tipped because I always do without giving it a thought and left. I was in tears when I got home because of how bad the haircut was and it totally ruined my night. The next morning I reached to Rhonda apologizing for complaining but needing to express how bad it really was. Rhonda offered to show me how to style the "butterfly" cut she gave me, which I didn't ask for, and apologized for cutting the bangs too short. At first I was receptive to this but nervous to return. Rhonda wanted to see how the hair looked curled, she offered to do it herself but I declined and said I wanted to style it myself as I normally do to assess how it looks with my natural texture. I sent photos of the curled hair and expressed how I felt my hair was ruined and it looked so much worse curled. Rhonda accused me of intentionally making it look bad. My natural texture was somehow me intentionally making it look bad. I have never been so insulted. I expressed again that I would really just prefer a refund and to let it grow out. Rhonda initially said no problem but later decided to send me a long text that she doesn't do refunds in any situation because it was still her time and her product and if it was so bad why did I tip? So I am now being punished for tipping and because I didn't make a scene and refuse to pay. I didn't want to be dramatic in front of other customers and her staff member. I was being polite and later expressed my dissatisfaction in a private way. I expressed to Rhonda I just really wasn't comfortable with her styling my hair again and would just pin it back until it grows. She told me it would take years to grow back. Her bad hair cut will take years to grow back and she is refuses a refund. Stay as far away from Rhonda as possible. I paid $50 + tip for a cut and style that I didn't want and will take years to grow out. Oh and to feel insulted as well. I was never nervous getting my hair cut before but I guess I have just been lucky and never had a bad hair cut until now."
