"Dealt with Steven V Dibenedetto, he was professional with me. Contacted me when he said he would, followed up on the couple of questions and requests I had. Realtor fee was a month of rent but that's normal if you're not directly dealing with a property management company or owner. Read previous reviews prior to contacting this agency but have always taken reviews with "a grain of salt" and prefer to make up my own mind on matters. Happy with the professional service he provided. I understand the cancellation fee if you filled out the apartment application and are accepted the realty agent has effectively taken that property off the market for that time. I'm sure if there were mitigating circumstances where I moved somewhere else I could have worked out something equitable for all parties."

"Stephen Benedetti showed us an amazing apartment; my partner and I were all set to hand over the broker fee for this wonderful place-- then Steve tells us we have to pay a one month "holding fee" ?? And also that we're on the hook for the credit check and "application fee." When gently told that these fees are illegal in Massachusetts(after a quick search of "moving in fees in Massachusetts"), both Steve and a colleague of his, Frank, called up to explain that "everyone in this area does this!!!" And then Steve, confronted with proof of his illegal practices, proceeded to swear at my partner, calling him "an a**hole". My partner hung up on him, only for Steve to immediately call him back to continue swearing at him. I would advise anyone looking for an apartment in the Boston/Cambridge/Arlington area to avoid The Rental Group."

"Steve did such a great job renting one of our apartment in our 2 family, we had him rent the second apartment. He made sure the tenants were well screened before showing. We have had no problems with the tenants he found and they have paid their rents on time. Screening is the most important step when renting out a property and Steve did a great job with that step. It took a little longer to get our apartments rented but having good tenants was worth the wait. I high,y recommend the rental group for landlords."
