Reviews of Twin Ponds at Nashua
"Terrible, terrible people run this place. Bullies. Gaslighters. Never felt like a home, never treated like a human being. Due to their error with some kind of seasonal "switch" for our AC in a locked closet, we dealt with mold on a daily basis until we moved out. We had dehumidifiers in every room. We bleached constantly. If we left for a weekend, returning was miserable. They left us hanging for weeks at a time. When they did respond, they yelled at us and said things like "it's just dirt". Is dirt green? Does dirt crawl it's way across the ceiling to every corner of the room? This place was a nightmare and a mistake. Lauren Brown should not have a job. Deb Palmer should not have a job. And you should not rent here. If you're desperate because of their "all dogs welcome" slogan, please still look elsewhere. There are other places in Nashua that will accommodate if you just talk to them, truly. The mold is their worst offense, in my opinion. But, some other negatives of the complex in general include: grounds that are suprisingly unkempt (a more appropriate name would be One Pond & A Swamp), incompetent, rude landscapers that the office treats like angels, irresponsible dog owners, irresponsible parents/poorly looked after children, baffling snow plowing rules that have you up at the crack of dawn and trying to figure out what to do from there, very poor but probably overworked maintenance team, largely outdated appliances, the nastiest dumpster area I've ever had to use, post their hours and then argue they're different than posted, two & a half month wait and repairs still weren't finished at move-in (never to be finished), and frequent passive aggressive notices from the office about inane things (I wish I thought I could post them here verbatim, but they'd likely be able to take down my review. Suffice it to say, friends still ask us to re-read them for laughs.). Moving out is a very fond memory for me. The only pro I can think of is that utilities were included (for our particular unit, not all) which is less stressful than if they weren't. The price point of this place is alright, if it were as advertised. However it's not nearly low enough to put up with what you have to. The location could be good if the lights at your only exits weren't on such ridiculous timers. Also, we can still access our old building. Didn't realize this, but we're still in the callbox. Been getting buzzed the last couple nights. We've been gone more than six months. The app still allows us to unlock the front door. Doubt we're the only ones either. I really can't think of much good here. I also can't think of much bad that couldn't be fixed with a staff change. Edit: It feels especially awful to receive a reply that tries to undermine my complaints and paint a false picture of my time living there, but from what I've seen that's how they handle most poor reviews. There's no need for me to contact anyone at Twin Ponds at this point in time, as I have moved out, obviously. This is a warning to future renters, the point of a review! THIS is how you will be treated. Ignored, lied to, gaslit. Honestly, it makes some sense they're suprised I was unhappy; it's hard to believe anyone would treat people the way Twin Ponds employees do and know they're doing it. I can't recall a single interaction since move-in in which they were genuinely nice or decent. Also makes sense they don't remember the complaints; seemed like they'd forget them as soon as I made them. It was always me that had to follow up after days–sometimes weeks–of being ignored. Lauren Brown would just get angrier every time I called, claim we've never spoken every time, and eventually send shady contractors to "clean" the source. Never worked. Then Deb Palmer would back her employees and tell off-color stories while you were trapped in her office. Please don't trap yourself in a lease here."
"I lived at Twin Ponds at the Gardens for 5 years, and overall the stay was very positive! All around nice community, quiet and safe. Maintenance was responsive and helpful, as well as management. Towards the end of my stay I needed help with a pretty serious issue with my lease, and management went out of their way to assist me. I though it was exceptional that they were able to do that, when so many larger leasing agencies have no personal connection to their tenants anymore. A big thanks to TP. Also, if you love dogs, this is a great place for you! Almost everyone has dogs and there lots of great places to walk around."
"The gardens have a mice problem that no one seems to care about. Property managers have two braincells combined and very rude, most likely peaked in high-school. They do not care if packages get stolen as they do not have any cameras on the property. There is a monthly pet fee to keep the property clean of dog waste but there is a ton of poop everywhere so where's the money going to? Unless you have a dog that is a restricted breed at other apartments, stay away."
"I was at Twin Ponds for two years. Since day 1, management and maintenance were super responsive and helpful. After I moved in, I had some issues with smells in the apartment, and they took care of it immediately (even though I was a new tenant). I moved out because I bought a house."
"I've lived at Twin Ponds for the past 3 Years, and it is such a blessing to be where we are! The thing about Twin Ponds you might not see right at first glance is the amazing community that we have here. All dogs are allowed here, and majority of the community I'd say have pooches of their own! The grounds have tons of open space for walks or jogs, the area is close enough to the retail district but far enough away to be a nice quiet neighborhood. I've never had a problem asking for help from the staff for anything, the maintenance staff have always been fast and efficient. In case you already have a dog the other dog owners are always friendly and the two dog parks here are great for letting your pooch run around! I highly recommend asking about availability now!"
