Reviews of Heritage Apartments
"It looks like a converted long factory bldg. Its next to the railroad tracks and I know the train is a long freight train and can be noisy especially early mornings or late at night. Its always quiet and I see a lot of people park on the street cause their parki g lot is all the way over to one side. Its a quiet neighborhood with low traffic volume."
"I lived in this building from 2011 until 2015 and I loved it. The one bedroom apartment I lived in was fairly spacious. Washer and dryer in the apartment. Central ac. Dishwasher. Rent was fair. Maintenance and repair requests were handled quickly. Mike the maintenance man was very friendly and good at his job, as was Lisa (the woman who worked the office most of the time I lived there). A few minor complaints (and one big one) Parking situation. There is a lot of parking, but if you live on opposite end from the parking lot, bringing groceries up and trash to the dumpster (in the parking lot) is a pain.... but, not much they can do about that. Trains. The building is right in front of the train tracks, sometimes the MBTA does some really loud work at 2 or 3 in the morning. It's pretty obnoxious during the months when it's a comfortable temperature for sleeping with the windows open. And, to echo a previous review, the heat bill gets obnoxiously high during particularly cold winter. The last year we lived there, we were averaging 400 dollars a month. When I called the office, I was told that was the lowest number they had heard from tenants with the same complaint. So, if you don't mind a long walk to and from your parking lot, dumpster and mailbox, can deal with the noise from the train tracks and know how to insulate your apartment to keep it warm during the winter, you will have zero complaints about this building"
"There is a freighter train 30ft from the building and they like to start up at 2 a.m., 4 a.m. and again around 5-6 a.m. makes it damn near impossible to sleep the night through or have the windows open in the summer.; unless you don't mind waking up to close the window. All windows are poorly insulated and are about 20 years out of date. Electric bills will increase about 400%. In the spring I have a $60 bill. In the winter it's up to $300+. Only positive is that there's a mini washer and dryer combo in every apartment. Too small for any size comforter. I would have moved by now, except it's the best bang for your buck in Attleboro. Saving for that house."
"I have lived at the Heritage for just about a year now, and have enjoyed my time here. I have never had any issue with noise, as the apartments seem to be great at keeping outside noises out. (Never heard anything from my upstairs neighbors or those beside me.) Maintenance is friendly, Mike is very kind, helpful, and quick to response whenever I need something fixed. The windows are very big and my cat loves them, since it is a cat friend building the windows are perfect for kitties! Only warnings I have are that in the winter heating is very expensive, I recommend putting up plastic on the windows since they are so large and lots of heat slips out them. I didn't mind since the rent is really so cheap between the two of us living here that the high heat cost wasn't a big deal. I like everything else, great having my own washer/dryer and dish washer. I wanted to stay but my boyfriend wants to move closer to family. I will miss this place."
