Reviews of Cumberland Crossing
"Their website is in trouble. Calling/getting notified for every apartment available is ridiculously time consuming. I would like to drive by first, but Cumberland Crossing's website is so poorly designed that I am unable to view which apartments are available, in which building, at what price."
"We currently live here. It’s nice, but not worth what they charge. Don’t be fooled by the “luxury apartment” name they have branded with the complex. They write “luxury” to charge more. And that is all. We constantly have issues with washer machine, dish washer, and garbage disposal breaking maybe once every 2 months. And if it breaks on a Friday, you’re waiting till Tuesday to get them fixed. If the money is no issue to you, it’s fine here. If you are looking to get every penny worth your rent, then no. And they up the prices of rent twice since we’ve been here. Nothing new has been added or any convenience. Just upped rent. That’s all"
"Unfortunately, we've been priced out of living here. Here's an honest review for new prospective tenants. You can expect your lease to go up between $150-$200 per month every renewal cycle. They advertise this place as 'luxury' Apts, but as you can see from pics that others have posted, it's a basic nice apartment. I would not categorize it as luxury. Appliances are old, work intermittently and very loud.. Staff is nice and helpful. Overall, I enjoyed living here and probably would have stayed if the rent increase didn't exceed affordability/value."
"Amazing community. The neighborhood is quiet and I love the view of the woodsy side ( it reminds me of home when I was young) the staff in the office will go above and beyond to make sure everything is going well and the maintenance is just the same. Very friendly community and that’s my #1 priority- Kindness goes a long way!!!"
"Posting as a consumer and personal experience. Just moved in and apartment wasn't cleaned or painted prior to move in. Several safety, mold, an other issues identified directly with Asst. Manager in person on move in. Was informed Management working on correcting the issue. I will update the review upon completion. Update 1 and 1/2 months later..no Mold Remediation. Minimal to No repairs for safety issues. Trip & Fall, etc. If repair done, it's worse than it was in the beginning. Example: Caulking master bathroom and fixing rust hole in tub. Repair is a worse and "new" caulking has holes which allows mold within 1 week. Also, some strange substance sprayed as coating peeling off and attaching itself to soap; and self while showering / bathing. Local Management not responsive to requests for completion of issues. Local management not providing escalation contact. Recommend not leasing from Cumberland Crossing or the parent company Jones Street Properties out of Boston. I reached out to parent company Jones Street Properties after no local office response and Corporate office experience was also no response. I based my decision on virtual information. I learned after I was told to sign electronically before move in, virtual and office correspondence was not based in reality. A basic "Bait and Switch". Apartment and Appliance condition is the worst I've seen in 25 years of renting. I looked to see if I could pay out of pocket for repair parts and they aren't even available via GE as they are no longer in production. Pictures don't match at all what you receive. When asked Local Management for comparable rental properties in local zip code, response is "market is computer generated". Bottom line...over priced...parent company nor local on site management non responsive...Best to find another property and parent company that is responsive to residents needs."
