Reviews of Cloverleaf Apartments
"Can you guys not ask your companies to pretend to fix an apartment before 8 o'clock in the morning. Some people work late nights and you got people tapping a corner of a room for 45 minutes while drilling the same corner. There's nothing actually being worked on and you're not even in the office to know anyways. The carpet people came and just made noise in one spot then left. The must've finished earlier and just milked the time because there's no way 45 minutes in one spot no movement whatsoever means a job is done all of a sudden. With the same tap tap tap drilllllllll tap tap tap drillllllll that's no you arent just hitting something then drilling the air didn't even sound like he was making contact with anything. No old person or young person what's even more noise generated in this building more than all the noise that we can't help. With delivery trucks garbage and the hotel people getting drunk and yelling. Tell your hired people to come at normal hour of the day."
"Horrible property management, the property manager is running this place into the ground. Grandmother recently fell in her apartment got hurt fire department, had to cut a hole in the wall due to management changing the lock box, preventing the fire department from retrieving keys to elderly or sick residences. Thank goodness it was not a time crisis could have been much worse due to management change. Corners are constantly cut when it comes to spending for building necessities. Management is never on site"
"Great place. The building is well overseen, most of the time the things just work. I can not remember the significant outages (except a short period of elevators being out of service). Management and stuff does the great job. 5 out of 5. It is a bit pricy, but your money would buy you desired comfort. Things to know: 1. holding deposit will be converted into security deposit, despite application is very obscure on this matter. 2. Noise. The market plaza is located next to the building and trucks and semis starts to unload at 6am. It's may be a problem. 3. Most of parking slots have no roof. 4. Most of the rooms have no ceiling lights."
"We lived here for two years almost. We have been living with Mouse infestation for a year now and we have laid out traps and caught at least 15 to 20 mice. And I see two more in the house now. We have kept the house food free, literally vacuuming everyday since the last 5 months and blocked all points of entry. I have said this before, this is extremely unsanitary. We only have three more months left on this lease, so i have given up. Every time we put in a request someone comes in and does an ineffective check around the apartment. Extremely unsatisfactory. Update after I got reply to my review: 1. I emailed the leasing office. NO RESPONSE. 2. I emailed the address that the owner mentioned based on other review responses as soon i wrote the review. NO RESPONSE."
"Pros: - Proximity to mall & Wegman's, major highways. - There was decent light in the bedrooms. (High floor corner unit facing the front parking lot.) - Assigned parking. (Covered spots are given to tenants who have been in the building the longest based on availability. That's what they told me, at least.) - Barely had to turn our heat on in the winter because the building was so warm. - Front desk staff and maintenance are friendly. - Maintenance requests are dealt with quickly. Cons: - Leasing office staff felt free to badmouth tenants... while on the phone with a tenant. (Putting the phone down is not the same as putting someone on hold.) - Due to the kitchen layout, neither the refrigerator nor the microwave open all the way. - Noise from garbage trucks and early-morning deliveries to Total Wine begin between 4-5AM. - Rent is high for what you get. You are paying a premium for location, NOT for amenities or quality/aesthetics. If you don't absolutely need this location, you can find a nicer, bigger apartment 10 minutes away for less money. - Sporadic general vandalism. (Food being thrown out windows onto the ground, glue being put on elevator buttons, dogs pooping in common areas of the building.) - Never any hot water in the shower in the winter, which is frustrating because the tap water always got hot instantly. Unsure if this was just my apartment. - Very inflexible with lease length; obviously they want your lease end to coincide with a popular move-in time, but many area complexes allow 3-15 month leases. Cloverleaf would only extend our lease 4 months (so they could rent it quickly once we vacated) or 12 months (standard term). - Noise complaints don't do anything. - Carpeting and paint in common hallways could use a refresh, seems dark and dingy. - We were told in 2017 that they were planning to refurb the gym, but it has not been updated. The gym is also very small. - No central AC; there is one wall AC unit in each room. - Media room (closed due to Covid) has been repurposed as a package pickup room. Prior to that, packages were stored in two different closets. - Luggage carts for tenant use are rarely returned to the lobby area; are also old and breaking down. - Tenants always leave Total Wine or Wegman's carts in the parking garage or in the lobby. Anecdotally: I never had allergy problems until I moved into Cloverleaf. For the last couple of months, the light on our air filter was nearly always red (instead of blue, meaning clean air). I was always sneezing and had itchy eyes. There was frequently the smell marijuana and cigarette smoke coming in through the bathroom vents, even though it is a smoke-free property. In my new apartment, the air filter is always normal and I do not have allergy issues. My new apartment (15 minutes away) is bigger and less expensive with upgraded appliances and amenities. I'm still very close to route 9 and the Pike. The leasing office employees are friendly and well-organized. I highly recommend shopping around before deciding on Cloverleaf."
