Bedford Hills Apartments

"Wow, these apartments have really gotten pricey! I have been sitting on writing a review for 15 months now, but I think it is important that people understand what you get yourself into here. At a glance these apartments look nice. Once you move in you see the quality of the materials they use to construct are not the highest quality. In addition to that they are always threatening to charge tenants for all their rules, if you should break them. Now some are important like not cleaning up the waste from your pets on the property, however they charge over $100 to get your dogs DNA when you move in and a pet fee monthly, that seems to go up every year. But there are harassing threats to charge tenants for crazy things like not having your dog in a crate every time they need to come into your apartment for something, which is often! If you have an aggressive dog, I can understand, but most aren't, and the maintenance man knows which dogs are, since they enter your apartment so often! Anyway my biggest complaint is that they will charge you for everything when you move out. I am not sure the cheap carpeting was even new when I moved in, but it would make sense after 5 years to replace cheap carpeting. Nope, when I moved out, after having a dog, and using a Dyson pet vacuum all the time to vacuum my carpets in bedrooms, they charged me to REPLACE the carpeting. I was flabbergasted!! It was cheap carpeting, but they charged me top dollar. I made sure my apartment was spotless when I moved out to ensure getting all of my security deposit back. I went round and round with the corporate office (by pass the property manager, she's an unhappy nasty person, that takes out her unhappiness on tenants.) One time I asked for her to put in a request for the elevator to be fixed which had broken, a few minutes before 5pm but because it was a few minutes after 5pm, she said I needed to call after hour service and leave a message to an answering service, and that she was off duty. Again, I was flabbergasted! All they care about is raising the rent and charging tenants for all the maintenance! It's a shame, as the location is quite good, within close proximity to 93 and the Everett Turnpike, north & south. Again, I waited 15 months to write this, but I'm still very upset at the treatment I received. Posting this to make future tenants aware!!"

"I would give it a ZERO if i could!! SO DISAPPOINTED!! I called and emailed this property manager for over 2 weeks to only be called to say "I have nothing available" - she wouldn't even discuss options for what could become available - no pricing, nothing ... Andrea was beyond rude and very unprofessional. If this is any way that the tenants are treated while living here, I fear for them!! Best of luck to anyone inquiring - YIKES!!"
