"The owners of this restaurant are 2 generations of a family from Brazil who spent years working in fine dining in Boston and Gloucester, learning every kind of world cuisine, from Asia to Europe to the US and their native South America before opening their own restaurant right before COVId hit. The father, who had not even boiled water when they left Brazil 25 years ago, now has a repertoire of 600 soups alone! Anyway, they made it through the pandemic thank God, and in addition to the spectacular food at a very fair price, the ambience is warm and inviting. This is the kind of place you can take your family and friends and linger over good food and wine. You will all want to taste each other's food. I don't even know what to recommend first because it's all so good but ok, the lobster bisque is the best I have ever tasted and the flan with orange marmelade drizzled on top is an ingenuous Brazilian/Latino/American fusion! I highly recommend Olivers Harbor to any and everyone who loves delicious food made and served with joy and love."

"My husband and I were in Gloucester for a day and came here for lunch. The experience was fantastic. First the bartender( owners daughter. Sorry I forgot your name) Was amazing. Very personable and engaging. Told us the history of her parents and running the restaurant. She also makes one of the BEST margaritas I have ever had but be careful they sneak up on you after a couple. My husband had the Cod loin with a cherry sauce and I had the tuna tartar. Both we throthoughly enjoyed are meals. The chef is extremely creative and talented. Love our whole experience. I would highly recommend Oliver's Harbor"
