"Visited Hairplace One recently and was grateful to get a last minute appointment for a haircut/blow dry. The staff were friendly and the salon was clean and comfortable, but I am disappointed with the quality of my haircut. I have really thick hair that can be hard to work with, and based on all the positive reviews, I was hopeful this salon could be my new go-to spot. Unfortunately my cut turned out blocky and awkward, to the point where I may go to another salon to try and fix it. The blow dry was also underwhelming. For the money I spent ($100), I had higher expectations."

"After being sick for a month and not able to take care of my hip-length hair, it was so badly tangled I honestly wasn't sure if it could be saved. Katherine, Natalia, Carla, and Cheryl (and possibly more people? it was a bit of a blur!) worked together for almost four hours to comb it out and cut it, and it came out amazing. What could have been a really physically and emotionally rough experience was smooth and shame-free, and I am so relieved and delighted that I lucked into such a great team."
