"I've been a loyal customer here for several years, and I've generally had a positive experience there. However, my recent encounter left me with mixed feelings. I had scheduled an appointment over a month in advance, and I was looking forward to it. However, a few days before my scheduled appointment, I received an offer for a photoshoot gig, which was unexpected and exciting. Unfortunately, I had to turn down the photoshoot opportunity and the income because I had already scheduled the hair appointment and knew it would be difficult to reschedule. They are often booked months in advance, which is a testament to their popularity. Regrettably, my hair appointment was canceled last minute due to my hairstylist falling ill. While I understand that illnesses can happen unexpectedly, it was incredibly disappointing that there was no compensation offered for the inconvenience I faced. In similar circumstances, clients are usually expected to pay the full cost of the service even if they must cancel. It would have been more reassuring if the salon had a contingency plan in place for such situations, considering their busy schedule, where booking months ahead is often necessary. The salon reached out to me and they did offer to reschedule my appointment for the next day. However, due to the last-minute nature of the rescheduling, it didn't align with my schedule. As a loyal customer, this lack of communication/respect for client's time, and the missed photoshoot opportunity were disheartening, especially since I had to decline a work opportunity. While I value the quality of service I've received in the past, I hope they can improve their communication and cancellation policies in the future. Update: Thank you for your response. I checked my records and see that I cancelled my appts 2 days ahead of time, well ahead of the salon’s 24 hour policy. I wouldn’t consider that a “last minute” cancellation as the policy states that guests are only charged if cancelling with less than 24 hours. Unfortunately I only received 2 hours notice for the stylist’s cancellation. If I had cancelled with 2 hours notice, I absolutely would have been charged at least a partial cost of the service and have a hard time believing otherwise. I understand things happen, but the salon’s response does not take into account my compliance with their policy and makes it seem as if they did me a favor when in reality, I complied with their own policy and thus couldn’t have been charged in that case anyways. I wouldn’t recommend booking here if you absolutely need backup coverage to ensure your hair’s done a certain day, ie for your wedding day or another special event as it seems there is no plan in place."

"I’ve been going to this salon since it opened when my stylist of 20 years began working there. When he decided to leave the field I should have been nervous about working with someone else after so many years but I wasn’t because through my interactions with Sonya during my visits I knew how knowledgeable and kind she is and that I would be in good hands. Now that I’ve been working with her for a few years I can confirm she has been absolutely wonderful. I have fine, thin, damaged hair and Sonya knows just how to care for it and somehow make it look great. She’s popular for a reason and is always conscientious about booking my next appointment to make sure there is room for me on her schedule. The salon itself is beautiful and they maintain a strong cleaning protocol. This is a warm and inviting space with a great team. I’m so glad they’ve been able to persevere through the Covid years which have not been easy on salons."
