Reviews of Arcadian Hotel Brookline
"Decent, cheaper little hotel on Brookline. The welcome staff was very nice, and they held our bags until check-in with no issues. Once we got to the room, it was very clean, but it was pretty small. The bathroom had one small sink, and the shower was sort of crammed in the corner. The shower liner didn't completely fit the spot it was in, so there were spots of the old brick showing. It's not a huge deal. The bed was very comfortable, but the air conditioning was extremely loud to the point that it woke us up multiple times in the middle of the night. There was NO WINDOW in the hotel room, which was sort of eerie. The breakfast is ok. Cheap bagels and pastries, coffee, and cereal. Nothing out of this world. The green line is right near the hotel and it is within walking distance of some nice restaurants and shops."
"Absolute steal for what we paid. We bought 3 nights in December for about $100/night. Perhaps the best part was that they let us keep our luggage there after we checked out for free!!! We had an 8pm train out, so we kept our stuff there from check out until 7pm for free. It was a life saver. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. It felt very homey thanks to that. Thanks to its location next to the green line we might as well have been downtown, if the line isn't under construction, that's how easy it is. The line was actually down at the time we visited, but I'm definitely coming back due to the location."
"Really weird little place but honestly we loved every minute. Only a handful of rooms actually have an outside facing window. Most of the windows aim twords the inside (and you can see your neighbors door) or the lobby/communal area (where you can see other hotel people gather around for breakfast and what not. Very strange but I’m always down to try something new. The continental breakfast was above average since they were featuring locally made pastries. Website says they have a bar inside but don’t bet on that. This hotel is a “minimal stay” in the sense that they had EXACTLY what one might need for an extended weekend, but not much past that (exactly what we were looking for). The staff went above and beyond and helped us get a later check out time free of charge, as well as free luggage storage on our last day. This allowed us to check out and explore Boston some more without having to lug around suitcases. There is a metro-trolley on the green line of the T directly outside the apartment that goes through Back Bay, Boston Common, and Downtown. No more than a 25 minute ride. Very convenient if you’re looking to stay a bit outside of the city! Thank you to the Arcadian for a fantastic stay! We’ll absolutely be back soon!"
"The Arcadian Hotel could have been a great experience: 1. If the room cleaning was not optional The room was really clean when I got there, it was amazing. But that is it. During the 6-day stay they never cleaned it once. You have to pay for it extra. 2. If the pressure of the water in the shower was enough. The pressure was so low that it took almost 5 minutes to get wet properly. I called the hotel team via app, they responded that it was more than enough. 3. If the breakfast could offer more varieties. Bagels, croissants, apples and bananas. At least the menu could have been first quality. Cream cheese spread and butter also. 4. If the croissants and bagels (almost everything in the breakfast menu) were fresh Pastries (the only thing to eat) were not fresh and needed to be warmed up in the toaster or microwave oven. 5. If the room had a wardrobe or there were at least one hanger in the room to hang my suit Nothing. You have to be creative to find a solution. The rooms in the middle corridor have no view of outside or whatsoever. That may feel a little claustrophobic for some people. It was quite though. The personnel at the front desk were friendly. Great walking distance. Near the train station. Friendly neighbourhood."
