Reviews of Tufts Veterinary Emergency Services
"I had the most horrible experience trying to book an apt with well-known Veterinary eyecare center in West Bridgewater MA. When I called Tufts, the receptionist was lovely and went out of her way to put me into a spot on the cancellation list. the ophthalmologist as well as her staff were compassionate, thorough, and spoke to me, so I could understand what was going on with my dog. I continue to go and look forward to hopefully resolving my dogs eye issues with Tufts in Walpole."
"Last night, after gobbling down her dinner, Sky began to show signs of distress, pacing and gagging as her discomfort intensified. It soon became clear that her abdomen was bloated and rigid, and her breathing grew labored. Without hesitation, we rushed her to Tufts Emergency Animal Hospital in Walpole, MA. At Tufts, Sky received immediate attention, including oxygen, pain relief, and X-rays that confirmed she was suffering from bloat, with her stomach having flipped (GDV). Around 1 am, the on-call surgeon at Tufts commenced the lifesaving surgery. Throughout the night, Dr. Reagan provided unwavering support, detailing every step while preparing us for all possible outcomes. Our resilient 15-year-old Sky emerged from surgery around 2:30 am and has been on the road to recovery ever since. I'm sharing this story for two reasons: firstly, to raise awareness among fellow dog parents, and secondly, to express my profound gratitude to Tufts for saving my precious girl's life. The dedication and expertise displayed by the doctors and nurses at Tufts have left me deeply impressed, and I can't thank them enough."
"I didn't end up going to this Vet because of the emergency with this dog someone dumped an I took into my family but I have to say the lady that picked up phone was so beyond nice and gave me the best emergency information an other places that should help in quick time. I ended up going to emergency/urgent care vet, and my now sweet little street dog is doing great after surgery from his tail infection off from being hit by train, and ended up FALLING OFF in my living room, so you could imagine the panic i Was feeling!! Big thank you from my family because the information was a blessing for our new family member!!"
"this place is the best emergency vet around , i am located in ri and will only see them for emergency and specialty health care!!!!!! my 12 year old golden retriever was diagnosed with bone cancer at our regular vet and we brought him to tufts to see their oncology team. They were not only knowledgeable but extremely caring and they went above and behind for him and our family. every staff member i have dealt with was pleasant and helpful. they explained everything to us and gave us our options and shared their own personal experiences and opinion which i was so grateful for. when he had bad days and i was concerned i called them and they would tell me to bring him right in they always were able to make room and care for him, or even just give a great deal of advice over the phone. they made him feel comfortable during the last couple months of his life at home and at the hospital but i truly believe they were able to prolong his life just a little bit from the specific treatment plan they created for him. they we’re understanding and supportive and showed great love. once he did pass , they sent our family a beautiful card with their condolences from the hospital staff and team. i personally have never heard anything negative about this place, i don’t know why this place is so amazing but it just is!! i will never go else where. thank you tufts for caring for my special boy during that last couple months of life, i appreciate it extremely."
"My dog was pregnant with a singleton and she was not progressing in labor. She is an older dog and it was unplanned pregnancy. I called more than 7 hospitals and no one would take her in for a c-section. I was so scared of loosing my dog and her puppy. The people at Tufts were exceptional! My dog was seen quickly, tests done, surgeon was in and a few hours later we were taking my Mimo home with her precious little pup! All well and healthy! I’m beyond grateful for the care my dogs received there!"
