"We are fostering a new little dog after losing our Chiahuahua to kidney failure, so wanted to have a health check before adopting her. We were treated with great care and professional service. We would highly recomend Bond Vet and Dr. Breanna Beberman and team!"
"These people shouldn't be trusted with animals. I brought in my obviously sick cat who wasn't eating. He was understandably guarded and grouchy. The vet and nurse were afraid to touch him and instead hid behind some feline fear free policy and said they needed to sedate him. I was ok with this and left him there because I thought being carted back and forth would be more stressful. I remained available and responsive all day. Several hours later they texted that they had been unable to administer a sedative. How is keeping a sick cat at a vet but not providing care in keeping with the Feline Fear Free policy? I asked if I should come get him. They said wait while they fill the meds, which took another hour. When I came, they gave me two types of sedatives and told me to administer them myself and come back in two days. I asked for something to help him eat, which they gave me, but they poo-pooed my concern as he had only gone a day without eating. When we got home, I decided I wasn't comfortable waiting, so my husband and I took him to a local urgent care. They saw him right away and referred him out to an ER due to concerns in his medical history (also provided to Bond). To be fair, they also wanted to sedate him but decided an ER would be better equipped to handle things. We went to an ER, which sedated him right away and found that he was in acute kidney failure. He's still there now, probably for his last night on earth. I did not have an issue with sedation, and I made this known. My main complaint is that Bond Vet didn't notice how bad his condition was and did not refer out when they found themselves unable to care for him. Instead they kept him there for hours without administering any medical care. This is absolutely unacceptable and unethical. Being a vet means showing compassion to all animals, even and especially those who are acting out of fear and pain. Bond Vet tried to avoid causing more fear, and likely caused more pain as a result. It's almost like they were trying to get consent from an animal. Of course he was afraid, because he was already in pain and had no understanding of what was going on. Avoiding fear shouldn't get in the way of providing medical care, but in the case of my cat, it did. Would his outcome have been better if he had gone to the ER sooner, I don't know, but he at least wouldn't have suffered for hours at Bond's office."
"Bond Vet has clearly put a lot of effort into cultivating their ambiance, but unfortunately, it feels like they've sacrificed their primary mission: to provide professional and competent veterinary care. Instead of emphasizing aesthetics, I wish they would prioritize recruiting skilled veterinarians. I am looking for a vet not a grooming spa after all. The vet was incompetent and unprofessional, won't go there again! The costs here are exorbitant – a simple health exam runs $95, basic lab work ranges from $105-125, and a vaccine costs almost $100. It's as if the focus is on the décor and overcharging rather than genuine care for our pets. I came in expecting a quality vet clinic, not an overpriced grooming spa. A truly disappointing experience."
"Overall an excellent experience with Bond Veterinarians on Arsenal Street Watertown. They told me what my Dog needed, how long it would take, and the total price before starting. Squeaky clean waiting room with free dog treats and water. Since the procedures would take about 1/2 hour we took a walk visiting several shops in the Arsenal Mall staff said they would call us when complete. This was an added convenience for my wife and me. Definitely recommend"
"Brought my kitty here for a checkup and vaccines and it was a truly delightful experience! The office is clean and pleasant, and we were immediately taken to an exam room after checking in for our appointment. Everybody we spoke to was kind and they were so gentle with my cat. I appreciate how transparent they were ahead of time with costs for the vaccines and any other tests we could’ve gotten. They also had loads of free treats and little toys—my cat was happy that they had a Churu to feed her on the exam table, and she’s been obsessed with her new St. Patty’s catnip toy ever since we got home :-) Hopefully she won’t need the vet for a while, but if anything happens we’ll definitely be bringing her back here!"
