"My husband used to be a sushi chef, so we have been looking for a good omakase in the area. The food was amazing, and service was one of the best I've had. You can tell the chef is very humble and does his best to provide outstanding hospitality. Would definitely come back."
"Chef Wei is hands down one of the best omakase chefs in Boston. The food is simply amazing - the creativity and skill displayed in order to curate such a menu. Although they don’t use wagyu, like a lot of the americanized omakase places do, the nigiri is always plump and very clean. the fish is always so fresh theres nothing in Boston that compares. The service is very interactive and attentive Carrie makes the experience just that much better. You will never have an empty glass before they sprint over with that blue saratoga bottle"
"Great new traditional omakase experience in South Boston. My friend and I came here during their opening month. Tucked away in one of the residential buildings in South End, the place didn't quite look like a typical omakase restaurant, so we stepped in with a mix of skepticism and anticipation. However, it wasn't long before our apprehensions turned to admiration. The opening acts of the menu were amazing. A decadent trio of uni, caviar, and crab meat blended into one, their richness cut through by the citrusy jolt of yuzu-kissed cabbage. Similary, the ikura, ensconced in airy cripss, was a delightful dance of crips and brine. The following nigiri pieces showcased the pristine essence of the fish. Eschewing flamboyant garnishes, they managed to highlight the texture and flavor of each fish. This minimalist approach, focusing on innate flavors, was exactly what I was hoping for. Attention to detail seemed like the undercurrent of 311's philosophy. The meticulous care in presentation, the unobtrusive but attentive service, and the personal touches like the chef's door-held farewell, all contributed to an immersive dining experience. While the price tag for 311's omakase is on the higher end compared to other options in the city, the experience is certainly worth a try."
"Came the first week when it first opened. Super knowledgeable chef and service. Explained every fish and dish. Could have a wider selection but understandable given new opening. Good price and ambience. Beautiful tea mug collection."
"The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the dishes being served and were able to explain the flavors and origins of each ingredient. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and serene, with soft lighting and cozy seating arrangements right at the chef's counter. The chef interacted with guests during the meal, explaining the inspiration behind each dish and answering any questions. With so many beautiful bites, it is hard to pick favorites but the crab with uni and caviar and rice cup caviar sandwich were unique and delicious. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the dining experience, from the perfectly embroidered silk coasters to the delicate garnishes on each plate. The pacing of the meal was impeccable, allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed. The flavors in each dish were perfectly balanced, with subtle hints of umami and a variety of textures and colors. Everything was exceptionally fresh. The desserts were equally as impressive, with unique flavor combinations and stunning presentation. I loved the rain drop cake which provided a beautiful finish to the evening. If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Boston you will find that this restaurant offers a memorable evening with satisfying food and an elegant yet playful experience. I cannot wait to return."
