Bass River Motel

"We recently stayed at the Bass River Motel for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We were very pleased with our overall experience, especially considering the reasonable price. The owner of the motel was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with useful information about the area. The motel's location is fantastic and very close to the beach. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning in the future."

"Not worth $200. There was an empty tissue box, it was dusty, there were stains on one of the towels and a little stain on one of the sheets. It smelled when we got into our room so we checked the filter on the air conditioner. I don't think is has ever been clean. It was disgusting. The woman who checked me out was very nice but I don't think I'd stay here again."

"My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and we just checked out. Overall, we’re very happy with our stay and it’s good for the money. First off, the fact that the check in age was only 18 was a HUGE help to us since we were very limited to our options since we are under 21. The staff is very friendly and informative, the owner/manager gave us a few ideas for activities and she was extremely nice and made sure we enjoyed our stay. For the price you pay, the Bass River Motel is wonderful. It’s a wonderful location with great people and they do housekeeping daily. It’s a little outdated, but then again, for the price, it’s worth your money. Our only complaint was that the sheets were kind of rough and the bathroom could really use some new features and some deep cleaning. The carpet could also use some more vacuuming as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we would come back again."

"Will not go back. Owner was rude to a friend who came to pick me up to go out. It was 80 degrees on one of the days I was there and there was no air conditioning, when I called to ask about it I was told It's not hot enough yet, no one else asked for it and I should open the windows, which had broken screens. I came to find out when sitting at the worn out picnic table that 3 other's also complained the rooms were too hot. There were 2 of us and we were only given 1 set of towels, thankfully we had our beach towels. There were stains on the bedding and bedding was very scratchy. Beds would of been comfortable if the sheets felt better.microwave was so old I was afraid to use it. There were no mini shampoo or anything, just 2 tiny soap bars.Mini fridge was clean and the t.v worked other than that I don't have much good to say. I came home bit up but I honestly am not sure if it was from the bed or the beach, I'm gonna say the beach just to make myself feel better. Price was much too high for what was offered,which was pretty much nothing but a shelter. Chose this place because we neglected to book something in advance, won't make that mistake again, would of rather stayed in my car."
