"Fantastic guest house right in the heart of Commercial St! Location is seriously the best. We had a suite with a shared bathroom and it was not an issue at all. Perfect set up for a couple or set of friends."
"This was a perfect place for a one night stay cation. We were attending the food and wine festival, which was a nice find in the off-season. The rooms were small but clean and well appointed. The only negative is that the contactless service means no service on site. You are totally on your own, and the coded door system is a bit finicky. It was a wonderful stay, and the location can not be beat literally in the center of it all."
"Our ocean-view suite was terribly laid out with the bed at the top of a steep staircase into a low ceilinged attic. The AC/fan didn't work and the windows were painted shut so we were sweltering hot in October. We'd hit our heads on the ceiling when we woke up. The pull out sofa came with no sheets and was dirty with food that slipped through the cushions. We called hotel number twice a day and left voicemails β never spoke to a single person, never got a call back. "Check in" was nonexistent, they just reset the lock codes and you come and go after 4pm. Everything is done via an automated text message, no one is on site to address any problems - and for $500 a night, there were far too many. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone."
"The Lotus has a great location directly on Commercial St and is rather central to the main center of shops & restaurants. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated - fresh carpet, paint, furnishings. It's perhaps closer to a B&B style property but there is no breakfast. Some of the rooms have private bathrooms, and some must use a bathroom down the hall. The small rooms are just large enough for the essentials - bed, night stands, and dresser. They increase in size, adding room for a Futon couch/bed, all the way up to including a mini-kitchen and living room areas. There is no "front desk" - you pay online and receive a code for the locks to get in which isn't valid until your check-in time. There is an on-site rep to handle emergencies. Housecleaning is like a typical hotel. Being right on Commercial St, they are in the heart of the action, which comes with a certain amount of celebratory street noise from parties. You may be going to be a part of this fun environment. This is not a sleepy, relaxing coastal cottage vacation. The Lotus building has all the charm of New England style construction. This is very typical of most properties in P'town. This is not the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons. It is very neat, clean, and safe. It is not fancy. There is no parking included, so plan on spending $30/day to park your car on a nearby lot. There is very very very limited on-street parking, so don't think you'll be doing that. You probably won't drive much once here, as there is very limited parking *everywhere* and most Commercial St businesses don't have any - you walk to most everything. Check Google reviews for local restaurants - some look good and have great locations but horrible food. There are many others with great food. But ask around or check reviews."
"The central location allowed us to enjoy the vibrant culture and fun of the beach town. The nearby access to restaurants, shops and bars was perfect. We should have stayed longer to enjoy the hot tub and relaxing garden. The AC in the room perfectly suited the size and kept us cool during the heat. I woke up early to walk to the nearby pier to catch the sunrise, wonderful! This is a great spot!"
