"We stayed in June 22. The cabins are clean, comfortable and cosy. The kitchen had everything we needed for our self-catering holiday and there are BBQs + garden tables with a very pleasant outdoor area to sit and have a meal. Parking is simple, town is a short and pleasant walk away by coastal path or road. Laurie is really nice, helpful and laid back. It's really a very enjoyable and comfortable place to stay."
"Our happy place! Laurie is a wonderful host and we love coming back to these sweet cottages. I stayed in them as a child when it was the Seward Inn and Laurie has added so much charm & coziness to each cottage. We had such a restful stay. Thank you again!"
"We had a great stay. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The cabin exceeded our expectations. The cabin had all the amenities we expected, and more. The bed was very comfortable. We plan to return. Rockport, Massachusetts is so beautiful. Laurie is an excellent host."
"3 of us stayed at the Lighthouse Lane Cottages mid October '20 and we were very grateful to have stayed in them in the beautiful fishing village of Rockport. It is a lucky thing to stumble upon such a little round cluster of cottages right next to the water that are such a nice places to stay and Laurie, the owner who we arranged our stay with was a terrific person to make plans with - she was very very nice to us. We hope to come back to visit next year or the year after for a few days although a week is a better idea as plenty to see and do there and around and to get to talk with Laurie more in person where due to the present state of this country now wasn't such a good idea we knew. Laurie came to the cottage the last day of our stay where she stayed outside due to covid and met myself and our friend Key'Airia through the doorway, but my daughter missed meeting her as she had just gotten out of the shower and would have liked to as she'd been so nice in helping us to be able to stay at the cottage. Our whale watching trip was cancelled due to high waves/rough water (from a hurricane way out not a threat to shore) but we walked along the beautiful beaches there and brought some lobsters home for our family from Vito's in town who were open after 3 for buying seafood from a dock business (something we were realizing was an issue as it got close to 3pm on our last day there lol - the boats get in at 5:30am you know lol and have to get home and to bed sometime!) who were thrilled to eat them as were we (they made it fine through the drive to Ohio). I will want to visit the art galleries in Rockport the next time as famous artist has a gallery there I want to see as well. The weather was fantastic and the leaves were lovely at this time, all colors. We will be back sometime next year for Whale watching as I chose to have them keep the money and delay our trip until next year to make sure we'd be "forced" to come again lol. We stayed here in Rockport in order to visit Salem, Ma before halloween crowd (a short 30 min drive away) for their witchy outdoor tours and a few small open door shops, but wanting to be in a quieter, seaside place and couldn't have gotten luckier than this location and Laurie was so wonderful to us. Our original plan was to come mid Sept. but events got in the way and Laurie graciously rescheduled for us as we got lucky the cottage was open for when we had to change the date to. The cottages had everything we needed for cooking our breakfasts and dinners there, had a fire and made smores in the fireplace, had internet if needed, had a courtyard to sit in and BBQ grill if we'd stayed longer we'd have put foil on for corn on the cob and grilled fish. Due to the of the awfulness of covid19 in the country it was just what we wanted where we'd like to stay away from enclosed indoor covid19 inviting environments with people in and out cleaning and circulated air from other units, where we would be normally staying at home most our free time otherwise but not having as much fun as being somewhere else for a few days to get away and still eat inexpensively. You could keep the heat off and instead open all the doors and windows if you wanted - Thank you so much Laurie for making this such an affordable and lovely place to stay in such an economically stressed time!! Tricia, Cindy, and Key'Airia (my son James and his girlfriend Anna will get to come next time! Maybe also our friend who's name is Ocean who we invited to a month in Cali with us where he saw the Ocean for the first time and now perhaps he can see the Atlantic!) Thanks again for the wonderful memories in just a few short days!"
"Absolutely the most perfect place to spend our honeymoon. So grateful to Laurie for being such a gracious host. All 4 cabins are perfect for a week long excursion or a weekend getaway. I recommend this place to everyone I can!"
