"My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Amelia Payson House and had a wonderful experience. Virginie, the proprietor, took extremely good care of us with treats and exquisite breakfasts featuring organic ingredients. She was careful to work with our dietary restrictions. Our ground level bedroom was very comfortable, with AC and a super nice bed. This historic property has many exquisite touches, including interesting contemporary art. Location and parking setup are ideal! Right off the Salem Common and very walkable."

Virginie was a wonderful and accommodating host. She was so welcoming and friendly. The food she prepared was so delicious. Bed was super comfy as well. Best part was meeting her two adorable dogs!"

"We absolutely LOVED staying with Virginie! She is a top tier hostess and this was the best place we have ever stayed, hands down. We came here for a late honeymoon and couldn’t be more happy! The food was beyond amazing, the bed was very comfortable, it is within easy walking distance to several sights and shopping areas. We were originally thinking Salem would be a one stop visit, but after staying with Virginie we can’t wait to go back! Sparky and Bella are sweet babies who deserve all the tummy rubs. The house is gorgeous and quiet, with multiple windows for viewing outside. The amenities give you the comfort of modern technology while the decor stays true to the classical feel. Virginie pays attention to every detail, ensuring the perfect stay. We also elected to have the charcuterie board during our stay and it was delicious! Truly an unforgettable experience"

"Virginie and Todd were the most fantastic hosts at the Amelia Payson House. My sister and I came up to Salem for a weekend away from Boston and didn't want to leave! The bedrooms were expertly decorated, fully stocked with luxurious products and toiletries, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we've ever slept on. Virginie is a true hostess and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of during our stay. Our food was fantastic- definitely opt for the charcuterie board and afternoon tea! We had a lovely time getting to know Virginie and her family (and two pups!) and can't wait to visit again."
