"Lovely old house with lots of antiques and memorabilia. Hosts were very willing to please and provide a good breakfast. The bedroom, though comfortable, had space restrictions due to the number of antique items."

"In this age of AirBnB, it is easy to forget what it feels like to experience a real Bed and Breakfast. The hosts (George and Jean) attention to detail is magnificent. From the pre-stay chat about our preferences to breakfast, to offering to put in a window air unit as the seasons were changing. Staying at the silvershell inn brought me back to a time long ago where human interaction with the inn keeper and other guests is part of the adventure of travel and staying at an Inn. The grounds are beautiful and provide 3 acres of relaxing space. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was clean. The decorations are Victorian. I plan on staying there again the next time I need a great place to stay in Marion."

We reserved the whole house for all of our family, and it truly was a magical time, largely because of our wonderful time with Jean and George at the Silvershell Inn. Beautiful home and location, they paid every attention to detail, down to lighting outdoor torches nightly for our nightcaps! Breakfast in their lovely dining room every morning was delicious, and our family was able to spend some really special time together. Hope to go back again for a family reunion! George and Jean were wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome and at home. The lovely breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and home grown fruits was delicious. "Our stay at Silvershell Inn was just what my wife and I needed to end our anniversary trip to New England. The property is meticulously maintained and offers an extremely warm and welcoming environment from the moment you enter. Meeting Jean and George was the cherry on top. The hosts were so gracious and informative of all the local attractions, from spending the day on their 3 acre property or locally throughout the town of Marion to perfect day trip plans throughout the region. If we knew that their property was the perfect central location to all of the places we wished to visit, we would have stayed more than 1 night! Additionally, the homemade breakfast has got to be the best around! I cannot go on without commending them on the cleanliness and precautionary measures taken regarding Covid. If you are traveling during the pandemic, there is no safer option out there than the Silvershell Inn!"
