Raffles Boston

"Local guide here. This has to be the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had at an establishment in a luxury property. Raffles, a Singapore based hotel chain, known for its outstanding level of service. Expectations are high. How could you go so wrong? The Blind duck cocktail lounge. For anyone interested in checking out their speakeasy, please avoid, at least for now. The system they have to keep the waitlist is absolutely inefficient. My colleagues were told they had to stay standing by the entry and wait if they wanted to be kept in the waitlist. We, on the other hand, were told we would be added to the 40min waitlist and we would be notified. There is no place to sit and wait other than 1 bench on the entire 18th floor. The lady keeping the waitlist. She is very unprofessional and an embarrassment for this property. We saw how she let people into the bar with no wait time, people that you can absolutely tell they knew the host. When we would ask for an update, it was far from a corteous reply. Overall, this is not what is to be expected from a Raffles property. We ended up leaving because of how disrespected we felt. With only one property in your North America portfolio, please get it together - Raffles Boston."

"What a wonderful new edition to the Boston hotel scene! I stayed here for a night to celebrate a birthday with my girlfriend and we were provided with the utmost white glove service from the moment we stepped in to the moment we checked out. Prior to our arrival I called to accommodate for an early check-in and preferences regarding our room as well as some additional special requests to make an extra amazing birthday experience. We were provided with a personalized note, Boston Cream Pie cake (yum), tasty tangerines, beautiful flowers, and Boston Sling (their original) cocktails poured up by our personal butler, Michael, upon our arrival to the gorgeous room. We went to the pool/spa area which was an oasis of relaxation and peace. Then grabbed a bite at the Long Bar before our reservation at Amar and ended the night off at The Blind Duck, a sleek, upscale speakeasy that just opened! I want to give a special shoutout to Michael our butler who facilitated all of this and catered to our every need from special requests, reservations, late checkout, toothpaste and extra mouth rinse bottles and even some special cocktails and brownie bites with our turndown service for our room that we were pleasantly surprised with. Overall, I can confidently say The Raffles Boston will be a force to be reckoned with in the Boston and greater New England hotel scene and can’t wait for my next visit!"

"I had a very poor experience at their new restaurant Amar. Even though I had booked a month in advance, I was seated facing a wall next to the kitchen for my meal to celebrate my anniversary. There was a better table available the whole time I was there, but they refused to re-seat my wife, and I . It gets better. The food was uninspired and too salty. Bad luck meal."

"We were warmly greeted at the valet by two gentlemen who were very pleasant and brought us to the elevator to go to the 17th floor, the main lobby to check in. Lien, a lovely lady at reception checked us in and helped us secure a ride to our restaurant this evening. Nick our Butler escorted us to our room which was very clean and beautifully decorated. Our bags were already in the room before we arrived. Reservations did research on us and Nick prepared two mocktails for us. Two Singapore Slings, the signature cocktail of Raffles. Nick stayed for a while and we had a great conversation building trust and rapport. We talked about training and the Raffles Brand. Nick left and returned a few minutes later with Julia our second Butler. We talked for a little while learning about each other. We confirmed our reservation for tomorrow 11:00 a.m. at Amar. Our experience so far has been exceptional."
