Reviews of Quincy Dental
"Returning Patient. Reception very friendly and personable, especially Stephanie. Doctor Thomas is lovely and caring. I recommend this Dentist to anyone, I have to travel quite a way, but it is worth it! ❤️ Just to add Hygienist is very gentle."
"The first thing I noticed was how kind and friendly everyone was. I don't know the name of the woman that did my examination but she treated me extremely well. I have severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist. With that said, we were laughing about our dogs and how much they love the snow. My anxiety was non-existent. Great experience. I've been a patient for almost 20 years with a 12 year gap that just ended. I admit I was extremely nervous about going back but I was immediately put at ease. They're very professional and gentle in their treatment of patients. If you're looking for a dentist you can't do any better than the fine people at Quincy Dental."
"Went to this place because it was the nearest that took my insurance. Probably had the same hygienist as the other reviewer because she was rude and condescending as hell while she painfully positioned the x-ray thing and after that experience I will never let them x-ray me again. She was less rude after I started crying, so she probably noticed though I was trying to hide it. Also the xrays didnt show any issues, but the doctor claimed to see a cavity I needed filled. When I came back to have it filled, wouldn't you know, she saw another one and insisted I come back to have that filled. I decided not to come back and also when they called to confirm my next cleaning I cancelled that too. I am not renewing my insurance next year so I had a change of heart and thought I'd get one last cleaning in. They asked if I wanted the 9am or 12 o'clock appt. 9am, I said. Then after she said "see you at noon!". 9 am, I said. She corrected herself and said she'd put me down at 9. They called today to confirm my appt at 12 o'clock Thursday. I thought it was 9 o'clock, I said. They had me down for both. I again confirmed to keep the 9 o'clock and hung up. They called back to claim my insurance isn't active and asked how I'd like to pay. I explained the insurance had just taken money (it gets automatic payments) from me so its definitely still good through the end of December. "But this is November" she explains. Yes, I know. It's paid through November and all the way through the end of Dec. She says it's not. I'm home now looking at the status of my account online and it is absolutely still valid. I'm not calling back to sort it out with the staff at this office though. I'm done here. Thanks for the terrible memories. I'll be hard pressed to let anyone do xrays from now on."
"Great place to go to. Staff and Dr. Thomas are very personable and friendly. I had to leave the state and will miss them. Hopefully I can find a dental office who treated me as family as they did at Quincy Dental."
"After going here for years, I had nothing bad to say about this office until today. I finally met one employee who convinced me never to go here again. The new female hygienist spoke to me like I was a child. She refused to believe me when I couldn't bite down on the xray film because it was poorly positioned in my mouth and kept asking me the same question over because she didn't believe my answer. She kept telling me that the stains in the back of my teeth were from smoking (I told her I'm a non-smoker, never even tried it). I told her that the stains were probably from coffee but she wouldn't hear it. She didn't even polish my teeth or use the floss that other previous hygienists usually do. She spent maybe 7 minutes "cleaning" my teeth. I didn't eat anything other than a big cup of coffee before my appointment so there wasn't much to clean but I expected at least the polishing to be done. I recommend going to any other dental offices. Avoid this place like the plague. (The receptionist was great though. Very helpful and pleasant to talk to.)"
