"+: beautifully appointed bedroom and comfy bed, front desk guy was nice, good location -: no sound privacy whatsoever, front desk worker chatting on the phone/neighbor playing piano/street noise all come right into the room. Terrible water pressure in shower. And worst of all, room smelled like poop in the room when it rained? Maybe from someone's dog on the street? Kinda feels like you're at someone's house but not in the best way"
"We booked the room and didn't realize the bathroom is outside the room down the hall they should have a picture of the distance when we saw this we gave back the key and cancelled the reservation asked for a refund The front desk could not do it and I called customer service who acted like this was new information and refused to refund us After reading many reviews several others have mentioned the bathroom situation and lack of responsive management also the room was small You can stay for the price at several other locations I'm Brookline we booked at another hotel that night the bathroom was in the room"
"WE Stayed 3 nights, upstairs had a leak in their bathroom and poured water into our bathroom which was a major inconvenience. My wife went into the bathroom and got soaked by the water, we immediately to staff as it was a major issue with leaking water, the Staff informed us that they told the owners and that owners would be inTouch with us, we even sent an email which fell on deaf ears, the next day after we were at a wedding until the very late hours we received a knock on our door 9;45 am (we had a do not disturb) sign on our door, we were asked to move our vehicle (33.00 dollars a night)which was located in The rear of the building, so they could accommodate another vehicle (vehicle that came in-was same size as our vehicle) so made zero sense. Zero explanation except that it would help the situation….yep we helped them, but they never even emailed or called us back based on several issues, as you can see we have a very high rating on Expedia and google for very high praise to everything we have been a part of over the years, this WAS NOT ONE OF THEM…be cautious based on price and if you think you might be takin care of and are not. LOTS OF OTHER PLACES IN THE AREA WITH BETTER PROFESSIONALISM AND will show concern if any issues"
"We stayed here in early July for 8 days. We were booked for 4 days for a conference, then added more time so we could vacation in the area. Because of this, we ended up in 3 different rooms, but that was not the hotel’s fault. The first room was the Symphony room at the top and front of the building. The room was large and well appointed, but there was glitter everywhere. This wasn’t new glitter, it was in the carpet, the floorboards, the bedspread, the furniture, the bathroom, and had been for a while. The second room was just above the entry facing the street. We were concerned it would be noisy, but it was certainly tolerable. No glitter here. The third room was on the second highest floor at the back of the building, and had two queen beds, and a corridor to the private bathroom. It was an odd layout, but it worked. The breakfast was pretty minimal. Some grocery store croissants, granola bars, mini boxes of cereal, and a couple of days there were oranges and bananas. Coffee and tea supplies were also available. There was a small seating area just off the front stoop outside to enjoy these. If you aren’t able to do stairs, you need to find somewhere else to stay as there is no other option at all. The air conditioning worked well in all our rooms, the staff was responsive (though we didn’t ask for anything), and the wi-fi was good. It was super convenient to our conference, the transit and local restaurants just down the street. We’d stay here again."
"Love it. Clean, comfortable, a real Boston experience, location is great!! T( metro), just across the street. Nice coffee bar, bagels, croissants, muffins, tea, great to keep you going. A/C, excellent bathrooms, some rooms don’t have it, but they let you know before hand. Girls at front desk are very helpful and nice. They make your room everyday. Not a hotel. It’s an Inn."
