"This is a BEAUTIFUL inn! I had to find a place to stay on the fly when working for a large music show and my partner and I fell in love with the place! It's got a really gorgeous old style build that makes it feel like you're staying in a Victorian mansion in Europe. I loved it so much I had booked us a stay as a holiday gift for him"
"1. Radiator heat. It was in the 30s outside, and I had to have both the windows open. I was still sweating. 2. Big space under the door, so the light from the hallway came in at night. 3. Roof seemed to be falling in lol. 4. I think 1 of 4 days did they actually have "breakfast" out by 8 am. Breakfast is 3 muffins, 3 begals, 3 begets, bananas, cereal, and breakfast bars. Pro: Close to the T-stop Not worth the $200 a night price imo"
"I greatly enjoyed my stay here! Room was overall very clean, (a little bit of dust on surfaces you won't even use, so not worth taking a star off! The staff was great, they called when I was running late to ensure all was well and gave me instructions on how to check in. You can hear guests above you, but it was not a problem for me at all. Guests were very respectful and polite. The rooms were very cute, I would definitely stay here again."
"I stayed here for 3 nights. As other reviews mentioned, it's an old building and you can hear people above you. Additionally, the rooms need greater attention to dusting. However, the rooms are reasonably clean and comfortable, and both the building and the rooms have character. It is significantly less expensive than the 3-star hotels in this area, so you can't expect the same level of amenities."
"Stayed here for four nights in the Boston Commons room, second floor. Making the reservation was more difficult than necessary. We called several times, were put on hold, told they would call us back as they could not take the reservation and make the arrangements wherever they were. They did not call back and we had to call several times, taking all day to get this finished. Upon entering the building at check-in, there was a strong smell of marijuana throughout the lobby and second floor. Staff seemed unaware and unbothered by this. Also, two mattresses standing up in the check-in area next to the small breakfast area and food. Not the greatest site to see when checking in. We had asked for some extra pillows when making the reservation, but they were not in the room. We asked the staff for the extra pillow upon check-in and they could not find any. We were also short one set of towels for the room which they had to bring. The bed was comfortable, but be aware with an old structure, you will hear noises from the hallway through the door, and guests walking on the floor above your room. Location was great, with two T-stops only minutes away. A small grocery store just down the street, and a very quaint setting on a tree-lined street. Bed was comfortable, but the room needed a very good cleaning, with layers of dust and dirt on many surfaces such as blinds and bathroom mirror. The breakfast that is provided is very sparse. Muffins one day, bananas another day, dry cereals, granola bars. No cream for the coffee, and coffee maker was out of water despite staff sitting several feet from the coffee maker. Marijuana smell continued strongly in the morning of second day. Again, asked the staff to look into this since the building is non-smoking and we were very bothered by the smell. The attendant simply said" I will bring this to the management's attention ", but nothing was done during our stay. Although the location was good, we would not stay in the pot palace again, since this in a non-smoking building, cleanliness issues and other issues."
